Headquarters, Divisions, and Modules

Glossary

Headquarters

The mobile command center of a clan. Only the provinces connected to the Headquarters bring income in gold. A clan may have only one Headquarters.

Division

A combat unit used by a clan to attack an enemy’s provinces and defend its own territories within a region (if regions are enabled) or within a Front (if regions are disabled). A Division can be reinforced with modules. Influence is required for Division organization.

Basic Division cost

The amount of Influence a clan spends to purchase its first Division.

Modules

Means of reinforcing Divisions that change Division characteristics and allow the clan to use Combat Reserves in battles for a province. If a Division survives a battle, it keeps its modules, and they remain active. You can add up to three modules of different types simultaneously.

Combat Reserves

Consumables that can be used in battles for additional advantages over opponent clans.

Connection to the Headquarters

The passage between your province and the Headquarters through the territories owned by your clan. The connection of provinces to the Headquarters is available within the borders of a Front (if regions are enabled, only within the borders of a region). The connection to the Headquarters increases the minimum bid for a province and allows for receiving and raising province income.

Key Rules

Actions with the Headquarters, Divisions, and modules are available to certain clan officers only. For details, see Clans on the Global Map.

Headquarters

The following actions with the Headquarters are available on the Global Map:

  • Establishing. A clan can establish the Headquarters in its province for free.
  • Relocating. A clan can relocate the Headquarters between its provinces if the borders between them are open.

Rules for the Headquarters:

  • Actions with the Headquarters are available at any moment regardless of the course of battles in the province.

The Headquarters cannot be relocated when the Headquarters is on relocation cooldown.

  • The Headquarters get established and relocated when the turn is processed.
  • Actions with the Headquarters can be canceled up until the end of the current turn.
  • You cannot remove the Headquarters from the map. The Headquarters are automatically removed when a clan leaves the Global Map or loses the province with the Headquarters.
  • After each relocation or removal, the Headquarters gets a 24-turn cooldown before any actions.
  • The connection to the Headquarters allows the receiving of gold from the clan's provinces and increases the minimum bid for an auction province.

Division

Four ways to obtain a Division:

  • Participate in a landing auction. An auction bid includes the basic Division's cost by default.
  • Apply for landing. A free Division is given to participate in a tournament.
  • Purchase a Division.
  • Receive a Division with the province transferred by a direct Major or Minor Power in the Alliance (see Transferring Provinces).

The following operations with Divisions are available on the Global Map:

  • Purchasing
  • Reinforcing with Modules
  • Relocating
  • Disbanding
Purchasing
  • A clan can purchase a Division only if it has its Headquarters on the Global Map.
  • After purchase, the Division is organized in the province with the Headquarters.
  • It is impossible to purchase a Division and apply for relocation of the Headquarters during the same turn.
  • A clan needs Influence to purchase Divisions and modules.
  • Depending on the season settings, the Divison cost can increase dynamically: the more Divisions a clan has, the more Influence is required to purchase each new Division. The system does not consider whether the existing Divisions were purchased or received for free.
Reinforcing with Modules
  • A clan can reinforce a Division by adding modules to it.
  • A Division can use up to three modules at the same time, but no more than one module of each type.
  • Modules added to the division can be replaced. The replaced modules are removed without compensation.
  • The modules can be replaced if the division is located in the clan’s province. The modules cannot be replaced if the division attacks an enemy province and is located on its territory.
  • The module replacement is available from the moment the battles for the province end, and no later than one hour before the next Prime Time.
Relocating
  • A Division can move across a clan's provinces and attack the provinces of other clans.
  • A Division can move between provinces, across open borders.
  • After a Division is relocated, it gets a 24-turn cooldown for relocation.
Disbanding
  • A Division gets disbanded when the turn is processed.
  • When a Division gets disbanded, the cost of the Division is not reimbursed.

Rules for Divisions:

  • A Division located in a province enables the province owner to protect its territories from an attack by an enemy clan. If the clan’s Division is not located in the province, the province goes to the attacking clan without a battle.
  • A province can host no more than one Division of a clan.
  • Operations with Divisions are available from the moment the battles for the province end, and no later than one hour before the next Prime Time.
  • Operations with Divisions can be canceled up until the end of the current turn.
  • If a Division of the province owner is located in an auction province, the minimum bid for the province increases.
  • If the opposing clan destroys the Division in a regular province, auction province or in a battle for a landing province with its owner, it receives Influence equivalent to the basic Division cost as a trophy, no matter how much Influence the Division owner actually spent on it.
