Resources and Currency

Experience is earned in battles and helps you progress through vehicles, modules, and crew development. There are three main types of experience: Combat Experience, Free Experience, and Crew Experience.

Combat Experience

Combat Experience is earned on each vehicle separately. On researchable vehicles, it is used to unlock modules and subsequent vehicles. Premium vehicles and vehicles with all modules and subsequent vehicles researched have Elite status.

• Battles. Earn Combat Experience by playing battles with researchable vehicles.
• Premium Vehicles. Receive up to 70% more Combat Experience depending on the tier of your Premium vehicle.
• Premium Account. Receive 50% more Combat Experience per battle. WoT Premium Account also lets you apply an experience bonus to the last victorious Random Battle of a selected vehicle via the battle results window. This can be applied several times per day.
• Personal Reserves. Activate a Personal Reserve to receive up to 100% more Combat Experience per battle for its duration.
• WoT Plus. You get +15% to Combat Experience for each battle you play while the subscription is active.
• First Victory of the Day. Combat Experience is multiplied for the first victory of the day.
• Platoon Bonus. Playing in a Platoon earns 15% more experience.

• Research. Use Combat Experience earned in a researchable vehicle to research its modules and subsequent vehicles.
• Crew Training. Use Combat Experience earned on an Elite vehicle to accelerate crew training.
• Resource Conversion. Convert Combat Experience earned on Elite vehicles to Free Experience.
• Field Modification. Spend Combat Experience on Field Modification of Elite vehicles.

Free Experience

Free Experience is a flexible resource that can be used on any vehicle or module, making it especially useful when you want to speed up research.

• Battles. Earn Free Experience in each battle—5% of Combat Experience received is converted to Free Experience.
• Resource Conversion. Use gold to convert Combat Experience earned on Elite vehicles to Free Experience.
• Daily Missions. Receive Free Experience as a reward for completing daily missions.
• Personal Reserves. Activate a Personal Reserve to receive up to 300% more Free Experience per battle for its duration.
• Personal Missions. Earn Free XP for completing Personal Missions in various campaigns.

• Research. Use Free Experience to research any vehicle or module.
• Crew Training. Use Free Experience to accelerate perk training for any vehicle.
• Field Modification. Spend Free Experience on Field Modification of Elite vehicles.

Crew Experience

Crew Experience is used to train crew members, improve their major qualifications, and develop perks.

• Battles. Each crew member receives the same amount of experience as the vehicle per battle.
• Crew Books. Crew members receive additional experience for studying Crew Books.
• Personal Reserves. Activate a Personal Reserve to receive up to 300% more Crew Experience per battle for its duration.
• Premium Account. Receive 50% more Crew Experience per battle.
• WoT Plus. With WoT Plus, your selected crew can receive additional Crew Experience even when you are not in the game.

• Crew Training. Use Crew Experience to train major qualifications and perks.

Credits are the main in-game currency in World of Tanks. They are used for everyday progression, vehicle maintenance, battle preparation, crew training, and many account-level actions.

How to Get Credits

• Battles. Earn credits by participating in battles and receiving battle achievements.
• Daily Missions. Receive credits as a reward for completing daily missions.
• Selling Items. Earn credits by selling vehicles, modules, equipment, shells, consumables, and decals. The sale price is lower than the purchase price.
• Currency Exchange. Exchange gold for credits.
• Premium Account. Receive 50% more credits per battle. WoT Premium Account also gives a 10% bonus to credits for Reserve Stock.
• Platoon Bonus with Premium Account. If at least one player in a Platoon has WoT Premium Account, that player earns 15% more credits. Players without WoT Premium Account receive 10% more credits.
• Personal Reserves. Activate a Personal Reserve to receive up to 50% more credits per battle for its duration.
• WoT Plus. You get +15% to credits for each battle you play while the subscription is active.

How to Use Credits

• Researchable Vehicles and Modules. Use credits to purchase researchable vehicles and modules.
• Collectors' Vehicles. Use credits to purchase Collectors' vehicles in the in-game Store via the Collectors' Vehicles section.
• Field Modification. Use credits to purchase Dual Modifications that improve vehicle characteristics.

• Shells. Use credits to purchase different shell types.
• Repairs. Repair damaged or destroyed vehicles. Repair cost depends on vehicle type and tier. You cannot enter battle with a damaged vehicle.
• Equipment. Use credits to purchase equipment that improves vehicle characteristics. Equipment is available in the in-game Store via the Service section.
• Bounty Equipment Upgrade. Use credits to upgrade bounty equipment from standard to improved.
• Consumables. Use credits to purchase consumables that repair damage during battle, improve vehicle characteristics, or increase crew performance.
• Directives for Crew. Use credits to purchase directives for crew.

• Crew Training. Use credits to train crew members in the Regimental School.
• Crew Books. Use credits to purchase Training Manuals and accelerate perk training.
• Garage Slots. Use credits to purchase additional Garage slots.
• Crew Recovery. Use credits to recover dismissed crew members.

• Rental Styles. Use credits to purchase rental styles for any vehicle for a set number of battles. Automatic rental style extensions can also be activated.
• Vehicle Recovery. Use credits to recover Premium and Reward vehicles within 72 hours after selling them. Unlimited recovery is available for some Premium vehicles. A free Garage slot is required.
• Clan Creation. Use credits to create a clan and become its Commander.

Gold is a premium in-game currency that can accelerate your progress and unlock Premium options. It can be used for Premium vehicles, Premium Account, resource conversion, customization, crew actions, and more.

How to Get Gold

• Premium Shop. Purchase gold in the Premium Shop.
• In-game Store. Purchase gold directly in the in-game Store via the Gold section.
• Clan Wars. Earn gold by participating in Clan Wars on the Global Map and capturing provinces as part of a clan.
• Community Activities. Receive gold for participating in official community and social media activities.
• Events. Earn gold by participating in in-game events.
• WoT Plus. Earn gold in battles with WoT Plus.

How to Use Gold

• Premium Vehicles. Use gold to purchase Premium vehicles in the in-game Store via the Vehicles section or the Tech Tree tab under the Battle! button in your Garage.
• Premium Account. Use gold to purchase Premium Account in the in-game Store via the WoT Premium Account section.
• Personal Reserves. Use gold to purchase Personal Reserves and accelerate your progress.
• Currency Exchange. Exchange gold for credits.
• Resource Conversion. Use gold to convert Combat Experience earned on Elite vehicles to Free Experience.

• Demounting Equipment. Use gold to demount complex equipment from your vehicle.
• Enlarging Barracks. Use gold to purchase additional bunks for crew members in the Barracks.
• Crew Training and Retraining. Use gold to train crew members in the Tank Academy or retrain them for another vehicle.
• Perks Reset. Use gold to reset crew perks so they can be rearranged.
• Major Qualification Change. Use gold to change the major qualification of crew members.

• Vehicle Customization. Use gold to customize your vehicle with paint, camouflage, emblems, inscriptions, effects, styles, and decals.
• Nickname Change. Use gold to change your Wargaming.net nickname. This is available once every 14 days.
• Clan Name Change. Use gold to change your clan name, emblem, or tag.

Bonds are a special in-game currency used for valuable items such as improved equipment, directives, styles, and vehicles. They are earned through selected battle activities, missions, programs, and clan-related systems.

How to Get Bonds

• Random Battles. Earn bonds in Random Battles using Tier XI and Tier X vehicles, as well as eligible Tier IX Premium vehicles marked with an active bond-earning indicator.

• Daily Missions. Receive bonds as a reward for completing daily missions.
• Global Map. Earn bonds for your clan's Treasury on the Global Map.
• Referral Program. Receive bonds as a reward for completing the Referral Program.
• Battle Pass. Receive bonds as a reward for completing some Battle Pass Stages.

How to Use Bonds

• Improved Equipment. Use bonds to purchase improved equipment that enhances vehicle characteristics.
• Demounting Improved Equipment. Use bonds to demount improved equipment from your vehicle.
• Directives. Use bonds to purchase directives that improve the effect of mounted equipment.
• Vehicles. Use bonds to purchase vehicles in the in-game Store via the Items for Bonds section.
• Styles. Use bonds to purchase styles for your vehicles.
