UPDATE: Last minute registrations now open! You have until 5PM UTC+11 Wednesday
You’ve all heard of the ANZ Premier League by now. Our new 5v5 esports League has taken Aussies and Kiwis alike by storm! So much so in fact we had such a massive response to Season 2 applications that we’ve officially decided to run an ANZ B League (aka ANZPL Division 2), we will be running another four teams of seven to compete in their own 5v5, Tier X tournament for in-game prizes and glory! (Mainly glory.)
We had over 50 players register for ANZBL, so in order to maintain a competitive standard even in the second division we will be running four teams that will be determined by who are the strongest four states in qualifying. Qualifying will be the same as PL Season 1, which means your favourite 1v1s are back at it again to determine the top 3 representatives from each state. Once qualifiers are complete, we will host another, technically flawless Draft stream where team’s will be able to build their full roster. Then, at long last, we will be able to kick off ANZBL by mid-April, every Monday night on WorldofTanksANZ - hosted by your favourite CCs!
More details on format, dates and prizes below.
Format
- 4 Teams
- Team size: 5 players + 2 reserves
- 5v5 Tier X
- Brothers in Arms tanks only (excluding EBR and Reward Vehicles)
- Four rounds (Attack/Defense) in an hour period, 10-minute battle duration with intervals
- Played the Monday of each week from 7PM till 9PM UTC+10 (i.e. Two Matches)
- Win = 3 points, Draw = 1 point, Loss = 0 points.
Qualifiers
On Monday the 29th of March, 1v1 Qualifiers will be held similar to last year's ANZPL qualifiers (Tier X, Round Robin BO2, Encounter) in order to form the core three of five teams. The groups will be divided as follows:
- NSW+ACT
- QLD
- VIC
- WA
- NZ (North + South Islands)
SA and TAS will not have 1v1 qualifiers, and their players will directly access the Draft. Players that participated in the Qualifiers but didn’t reach the top three spots will also join the Draft pool.
On Wednesday, the 31st of March, the five core teams will verse each other in a 3v3 tournament (Tier X, Round Robin BO2, Attack/Defence) to decide the four teams that will form the ANZ B League. The team which doesn’t make it will be placed into the Draft.
The following day, Thursday the 1st of April, the Draft will be held, and the four ANZ B League teams will pick their remaining four players each for a total of seven on each team.
This will bring us to the debut night on Monday the 12th of April, with all dates below.
Dates
- Week One: April 12th, 20:00-22:00 UTC+10*
- Week Two: April 19th, 20:00-22:00 UTC+10*

There will be no Finals for the ANZBL. Instead we’ll hold a double round robin, however, if we get enough interest during its first season and can increase the teams from four to six, we’ll explore the possibilities of holding a play-off.
Prize Pool
Place | Prize |
First Place | 5,000 per player |
Second Place | 4,000 per player |
Third Place | 3,000 per player |
Fourth Place | 2,000 gold per player |
For this initial season, the B League won't feed straight in to the ANZPL, but depending on how the results and interest of this first season, we'll evaluate the integration of such a system in future seasons.
Good luck, and let’s battle!
