This holiday season, we're turning the temperature down and the excitement up with intense winter action alongside Jason Statham, who is here to welcome you to an all-new festive game mode! Jason will greet you as you charge into Winter Raid—a showdown where three teams of five collect gifts across a snow-covered wonderland!

Winter Raid transforms the battlefield into a festive board-game-inspired arena full of icy challenges, holiday-themed landmarks, and plenty of festive rewards. Gather your wits, prepare for the thrill, and collect the most gifts!

The festive Winter Raid truck parked next to the Christmas tree in your Winter Village will take you directly to the game mode when available.

Rules

Winter Raid brings a fun and unusual dynamic to World of Tanks. Instead of a clash between two adversaries, the new mode sees three teams of five players and a mix of three distinct vehicle classes to choose from.

The goal is simple: collect gifts and return them to your home base to fill the progress bar faster than the other teams. But be wary! Opponents can sneak in and take gifts that you have already secured.

The battle ends when one team has collected 50 gifts or the 10-minute timer runs out, so quick decisions and coordinated attacks are key.
Gifts spawn in multiple waves throughout the battle.
- AI-controlled bots protect the first wave and drop four additional gifts when destroyed.
- Enemy vehicles will also drop one extra gift when destroyed.
- The last wave of gifts is protected by mighty snowstorms blowing across the battlefield that will freeze and damage you. Watch out!
If you escape an especially excruciating fight, you can repair your vehicle in your home base. But be careful; taking more damage stops the repair progress for 30 seconds.

The Winter Raid map is a paper wonderland that captures a festive, board game-inspired aesthetic, with snow-covered terrain, colorful paths, and holiday-themed landmarks bringing a whimsical twist to the unique battlefield. The heart of the action lies in the central arena and three distinct base areas, which serve as the primary hotspots for intense, fast-paced skirmishes.

Beware of icy patches scattered across the terrain—these slippery areas require careful navigation, as they can affect your vehicle's handling. Plan your routes wisely, use the environment to your advantage, and stay alert for the holiday-themed obstacles and rewards awaiting you in Winter Raid!

Vehicles

The new game mode introduces three unique vehicle classes, each with distinct roles and abilities. Choose wisely and coordinate with your teammates to take full advantage of your class's strengths:

Carrier

Swift and sneaky, the Carrier excels at grabbing gifts and executing daring hit-and-run attacks. Armed with a small magazine loaded with paper bullets, the Carrier can become invisible using its Stealth ability, causing +50% extra damage from a surprise strike. To counter the chaos, it can deploy a Flare to reveal enemies within a certain radius, marking them for an additional +50% damage for all other teams.

Support

The defensive backbone of your team, the Support vehicle specializes in territory defense and assisting the Assault class. Equipped with a "Paper Spikes Machine Gun" and two deployable AI-controlled Turrets, the Support vehicle can create ambushes and cover key points. It also features a Heal Aura that repairs and buffs all allied vehicles and turrets within its range.

Assault

The Assault vehicle is the ultimate breakthrough tank, designed to capture central points and wreak havoc on enemy positions. It fires a powerful exploding paper ball with splash damage and has the ability to trigger a "Freeze" that freezes and damages enemies caught in the radius. For a final push, activate Rage mode to boost reload and rotation speed while becoming temporarily indestructible, at the cost of health over time.

Four Main Ways to Earn Gift Coins

Collect Gift Coins, the special event currency, during Winter Raid to maximize your rewards and take home the exclusive 3D attachments. You can earn Coins in four different ways:

Game Mode Battles: Fight in Winter Raid and earn Gift Coins based on your individual and team performance. The better your strategy, the more Coins you'll take home!
Weekend Missions: Every weekend, tackle class-specific missions to boost your Coin count. Each tank class will have three unique missions available throughout the event. Completing them will keep your Coin stash healthy and drive your progress forward.
Daily First-Class Rewards: Log in each day while the Winter Raid mode is active and play a battle with each of the three different Winter Raid tanks to receive an extra Coin for every first battle.
Random Battle Missions: Up to three daily missions will be available in Random Battles from the first day of Winter Raid until the end of Holiday Ops 2025-01-13 at 03:00:00 (UTC). This new twist keeps the event exciting and ensures you don't miss a chance to stock up on Coins, even between mode days.
