New Reserves in Strongholds: Airstrike and Artillery Strike

Clan Wars
In other languages: vi th zh-tw ja

Tank Commanders!

In update 9.6, Strongholds will include two new buildings which will produce special clan battle reserves. These weapons can be used directly in battles.

Note: At the moment, reserves are only available for battle modes and not skirmishes.

Artillery Battalion

The Artillery Battalion produces the "Artillery Strike" reserve. When used, it will be indicated on the commander map square and will cover dense artillery fire with the use of high-explosive shells.

Artillery Strike is similar to SPG shots. The shells come from the base side with a 45-degree angle, causing damage identical to default ammunition from the SPG arsenal.

Number of shells, their power and dispersion area depend on the level of building, in which the reserve was produced.

Attack Bomber Squadrons

The building produces the "Airstrike" reserve that allows the commander to summon an Il-2 attack aircraft, which will strike an indicated area with cumulative anti-tank bombs.

The firing style in this type of reserve is different from “Artillery Strike”. The aircraft will approach the target and drop bombs vertically at an angle of 90 degrees to hit sensitive spots in tank armour. In addition, the vertical angle of entry bombs allows hitting the enemy hidden behind buildings or terrain.

Bomb damage and their number depend on level of the building in which the reserve was produced.

How to Use the New Reserves

  1. The command can be applied by the commander (first player, who enters the battle room). The command role may be reassigned in the room as well.
  2. You can use both reserves once during a fight.
  3. Reserves must be added by the commander in the battle room before the battle starts.
  4. Reserves cannot be used when the commander’s tank is destroyed in battle.
