[UPDATED] Global Map: The Thunderstorm Event Is Coming!
Commanders,
In the announcement of the upcoming Thunderstorm event, we revealed some details about pre-battle screen improvements and changes to player movement permissions. However, during testing, we encountered a technical issue which requires more time to completely resolve than is left before the start of the event.
As a result, we have decided not to risk the event's stability by implementing these planned changes. Therefore, the mechanics of the pre-battle screen in Thunderstorm, including player movement permissions, will remain the same. We appreciate your understanding and wish you good luck on the battlefield!
Clan warriors, it’s your time to shine!
Dense thunderclouds are gathering over the Global Map. A powerful thunderstorm is coming, bringing with it a new war for supremacy and tons of valuable loot. From July 26 through August 9, the Global Map will host our newest clan event—Thunderstorm—so be sure to mark your calendars!

Thunderstorm
July 26, 2021, 05:00 UTC+8 through August 9, 2021, 05:00 UTC+8
The concept of the Thunderstorm event will be familiar to those of you who took part in the Renaissance event. Let’s review the core gameplay rules:
Battles take place in Tier X vehicles, using the 10v10 format on the Basic Front and 15v15 format on the Advanced & Elite fronts.
Clans earn Fame Points both in battles and for strategic decisions that Commanders make. Clan fighters receive personal Fame Points to redeem bonuses and personal rewards when the event is over.
The playing field will be divided into three Fronts, each with its own size, bonuses, and specific number of Fame Points that can be earned. The clan leader's task is to develop a strategy to achieve the clan's goals.
The clan leader decides how to use the clan’s Fame Points. These points can be saved or spent in the Laboratory for various bonuses that provide strategic advantages or increase the speed at which clan Fame Points are earned.
Vehicles can be equipped with experimental modules.

The M60 and the 121B have received some performance improvements. Check them out here (Release Notes 1.13).
Once the event is over, you’ll be able to exchange personal Fame Points for rewards. The cost of the rewarded Tier X vehicles will be based on the number of personal Fame Points a player has accumulated for position 1,200plus4,000bonds. Thus, players with high positions will be able to select additional rewards (see Personal Rewards) aside from vehicles.
Only a vehicle that the player does not currently own can be selected.

Workshop Vehicles
Once again, you’ll have the opportunity to assemble Premium vehicles during the Thunderstorm event. This time, you'll be able to produce the following Tier VII and VIII steel predators:
To do this, use resources received after battles on the Global Map. The Workshop can be found on the clan screen.
Prospector 2D Style and Other Custom Looks
There’s more great news for clan players looking to add even more exclusive custom looks to their collection! All clan fighters ranking in the top 10% of the Alley of Fame at the end of the event will receive the brand-new Prospector 2D style, which will replace the Damascus Steel style in the reward pool. This cool-looking style can be applied to any Tier VIII–X vehicle in your Garage. It can also be re-applied to other vehicles of these tiers without restriction.

Interface Improvements
To make your game experience more enjoyable, we significantly redesigned the screens for the clan battle schedule and the clan list of battles by making them clearer and more informative. The list of clan battles with the current design will still be available, so you can choose the version you like the best. The new clan battle schedule screen will be visible only to your clan members, and you won't be able to view the schedules of other clans. Take a look.
In addition, we improved the pre-battle screen and made changes to player movement permissions. Until recently, any player could move clan members from the left list to the right roster just before starting a battle, regardless of their role in the clan. This led to well-planned sabotages and could even result in a technical defeat.
To help clans enter the battle in full force and implement the intended combat tactics, only players with officer ranks (Commander, Executive Officer, Personnel Officer, and Combat Officer) will be able to move themselves and any other players to the right roster. However, all players of any rank will still be able to move themselves in and out.
Plus, you can now filter the composition of the team by various criteria right in the pre-battle screen. Sorting is performed for each player separately and doesn't affect the display of the team composition for other clan players.
