Vehicle Description

The Object Kust is a Tier VIII Soviet sniper TD with hydropneumatic suspension. It boasts a 130 mm gun with excellent armor penetration and high average damage per shot, and the thickness and angle of its frontal armor force enemies to aim for specific weak points—giving the Kust plenty of time to take out foes.

Historical Reference

In the second half of the 1950s, the U.S.S.R. was working to develop turretless tanks. Designers in Kharkiv were working on a vehicle named Object Kust (kust meaning "bush"), which was similar in concept to the Swedish Strv 103. For aiming, only elevation/depression of the gun was envisaged, with minimal traverse. The project did not go beyond the mockup stage.
