Vehicle Description

The Kanonenjagdpanzer 2 is a Tier VIII German TD with an 11 cm gun. Hydropneumatic suspension gives 7 extra degrees of gun depression and Travel/Siege mode gameplay like Swedish TDs have. The TD has basic protection but its mobility in Travel mode lets it quickly take up positions. In Siege mode, the gun boasts brilliant handling and DPM.

Historical Reference

In 1959, the first designs appeared for mounting 105 mm guns on the Kanonenjagdpanzer. At the same time, there was the problem of the barrel sticking too far forward. As a result, the KanJpz-2 project was started. The gun system on the vehicle was moved back to the right side, and the hull front was asymmetrical. The project stayed in blueprints, but much of what had been planned for the KanJpz-2 was used in later projects.
