Commanders!
We're commemorating the birthday of William Tecumseh Sherman, born February 8, 1820. The name of this prominent American Civil War general was given to the M4 Sherman medium tank, which formed the bulk of U.S. armored forces during World War II and existed in numerous variants, many of which are represented within the game. From February 6 through February 10, Sherman owners can complete a special mission to earn Sherman decals and consumables.
In case you don’t have a Sherman in your Garage (or can’t get enough of them), there’s a sale with discounts of up to 30%! General Sherman: A Long-Lasting Legacy
ExpandThe figure of William Tecumseh Sherman, a general in the Union Army during the American Civil War (1861–1865), is divisive among historians.
A West Point graduate, Sherman gained notoriety for his "hard war" strategy, which involved destroying resources that could support the enemy's war effort. His November–December 1864 "March to the Sea" exemplified this approach: After torching Atlanta he led his army to Savannah, pillaging the countryside and only sparing the latter city as a Christmas gift to then-President Abraham Lincoln. He employed similar tactics in the subsequent march north to Charleston in early 1865, followed by Confederate surrender in April.
British historian B. H. Liddell Hart lauded Sherman as a master of the "indirect approach" to warfare. In Liddell Hart‘s opinion, Sherman influenced World War II commanders from U.S. General George S. Patton to German Generals Heinz Guderian and Erwin Rommel, who all adapted his tactics—striking and exploiting enemy weaknesses with a highly mobile force—for mechanized armor.
Interestingly, the M4 Sherman tank—one of the two mass-produced mediums that essentially won World War II for the Allied side—was the successor to the M3 Lee, named after Confederate General Robert E. Lee, adding a unique historical twist.

Loza's M4-A2 Sherman Offers
Available from February 6 at 17:00 (UTC+8) through February 13 at 17:00 (UTC+8)
The VI Loza's M4-A2 Sherman has the looks of the vehicle used in 1945 by the crew of Dmitriy Loza, a prominent Soviet tank commander from Ukraine. One of the Shermans made in the U.S. and provided to the USSR by Lend-Lease, this vehicle is a rare case of a Soviet tank with a good view range and a gun depression of –10°. Together with a thick gun mantlet, a high rate of fire, and decent mobility, this makes the tank good at both flanking and terrain-based play. The tank comes with the special Commander Dmitriy Loza.
M4A3E8 Thunderbolt VII Offers
Available from February 6 at 17:00 (UTC+8) through February 13 at 17:00 (UTC+8)
The VI M4A3E8 Thunderbolt VII has enhanced frontal hull and turret armor compared to a regular M4A3E8 Sherman, which made the former a favorite of U.S. Lieutenant Colonel Creighton Abrams during World War II. The Thunderbolt carries a quick-reloading 76 mm gun with good handling, 1,916 HP/min DPM, and a maximum depression of –10°. The vehicle also comes with permanent inscriptions and emblems, plus there’s a 100% trained crew with Brothers in Arms as a zero perk in each bundle.
M4 Improved Offers
Available from February 6 at 17:00 (UTC+8) through February 13 at 17:00 (UTC+8)
While the M4 is a great medium tank overall, the V M4 Improved lives up to its name. Its turret and hull armor are more sloped, which gives it a better chance to shrug off incoming enemy rounds, and it's equipped with a potent 75 mm gun with a good rate of fire. With a more powerful engine than the standard M4, the Improved is fast and maneuverable, and thus very good for flanking its adversaries.
