Commanders!
As most of you are probably aware, our fellow commanders in Australia are experiencing among the worst bushfires in the country’s history. 28 people have been killed, 50 million acres burnt, 6,000 buildings destroyed, and 1 billion animals killed. These are some tragically enormous numbers, and the fire season isn’t even at its halfway mark.
In order to support our friends in Australia, World of Tanks will be organising several activities to raise money for those impacted by this disaster. Our charity of choice will be BlazeAid, a volunteer-run organization committed to the rebuilding of fencing and other structures vital to rural communities across Australia. BlazeAid volunteers work in a disaster-affected area for many months, not only helping individuals and families, but also helping rebuild the local communities.
From today until January 31st, World of Tanks will be donating 100% of proceeds raised from the Australian-themed Bushfire Bundles detailed below. Additionally, the ANZ team will be hosting a charity stream and silent auction on Thursday, 23 January from 3 - 11pm UTC +11 (12 - 8pm UTC +8). Items such as exclusive tanks, personalised artwork from the WoT art team, masterclasses on game production, design and publishing from Wargaming Sydney staff, and even merchandise signed by Wargaming founder Victor Kislyi will be on offer.
