Tank Commanders!

Update 9.5 has just been released! Are you ready to assume control of the Sherman Firefly and the other new British vehicles? You'll need to do a little recon work, too - three new maps will be released in the new Update, complete with unfamiliar new terrain.

Check the patch notes below or watch this video for in-depth information about what to expect in 9.5.

How to Download the 9.5 Update

If you have already installed World of Tanks, all you have to do is start the game launcher and let the client automatically update by itself. Otherwise, you can download the game client from the "Download World of Tanks" link:

NEW! UK Tech Tree Branch

The Firefly cometh! As one of the most popular tanks most often requested to be put in World of Tanks, the Sherman Firefly makes its triumphant appearance in its rightful spot: a new branch on the UK tech tree, solely reserved for vehicles that have historically been retrofitted before entering active service.

Along with the Firefly, expect to see more examples of British reiterations, such as the Grant, the Sherman III and the Achilles. These will be paired alongside other 'home-grown' British mainstays, such as the original Valentine, the Challenger and the Tier X FV4005, which will round out the entire branch.

New maps: Winter Ruinberg, The Pit, Ghost Town

Three new maps will join the roster after Update 9.5's release. Winter Ruinberg paints a peaceful blanket of white snow over the now-familiar town of Ruinberg, while The Pit and Ghost Town bear no resemblances to the other maps in existence.

You might be able to drive around Ruinberg with your eyes closed by now, but a little scouting is definitely needed for the rest. We'll leave it up to you to find out the best spots for attacking or defending objectives!
