Commanders!
Recon Mission once again becomes a proving ground for new tech that can make our beloved game even more tactically diverse and visually attractive. Last time, you tried out random map events and shared valuable feedback. Now we are offering you something in the same vein: Local Weather. Get into your Tier VIII–X vehicles and start experiencing a new feature!
Start: 2024-11-04 / End: 2024-11-18

Start: 10:00:00 (UTC) |
Local Weather is a whole new category of map events dealing with adverse climate conditions and environments. Here is the current list of effects and maps:
Just like Random Events, Local Weather effects influence the gameplay in various ways and are spectacular. Unlike Random Events, Local Weather is permanent. It exists in its designated area for the battle's entire duration.
All Local Weather has a common set of effects that applies to every event irrespective of its type.
Some Local Weather events have additional effects that only apply to them.
Getting into the top 12 of your team by base XP earned in Recon Mission battles contributes to your progression bar. To complete the event Progression, you need to meet these conditions in 50 battles. Among the rewards you receive for reaching certain Progression thresholds are days of WoT Premium Account, Personal Reserves, directives, plus the "Climate Expert" medal and the unique fit-all "Weather Warning" 2D style.
Recon Mission 2024 Progression resets after the first week of the event (on 2024-11-11 at 09:00:00 UTC), and you can complete it twice to receive double the rewards!
After you experience one of the four Local Weather event types in 10 battles overall, you will be offered to complete an event-type-specific questionnaire. We appreciate your feedback—use this chance (four separate chances, to be exact) to influence the future course of the game!
Play Recon Mission 2024, complete the questionnaires, and help determine the future of the game, Commanders!
