In 1944, the VIII T-54 first prototype saw daylight because somebody wanted a tank with enhanced armour and a good gun. It underwent some trials but was never mass produced.

The World of Tanks version gives you a Tier VIII medium tank with good armour for its tank type. It has a decent gun, but performs better against tanks of similar tiers. Just remember to pick your opponents wisely, play well, and you will be cranking good credits!
