The idea of the  VI Pz.Kpfw. IV Schmalturm  was born in 1944 when the Krupp company wanted to upgrade guns of existing vehicles. One of their plans involved putting a Panther's Schmalturm turret onto a Pz IV Ausf. J. The trade-off for getting high firepower is a turret that's too heavy for the vehicle's suspension, affecting its speed and mobility.

Making full use of the Pz.Kpfw. IV Schmalturm's strengths require good map knowledge. You'll need to find good hiding spots to shoot from. With the right conditions, you can destroy careless enemies with impunity and glee.
