Please be informed that there will be server downtime while we make preparations for the release of Update 9.12 on 19th November from 03:00 UTC+8 (18th November, 19:00 UTC). The approximate downtime is 4.5 hours with a shorter downtime expected for the portal services.
During this maintenance, the following will be unavailable due to the update:
In Update 9.,12, a a new tutorial mode, “Proving Ground” will be available. “Proving Ground” is a tutorial PvE-mode that helps new tankers familiarise themselves with World of Tanks. It allows them to get acquainted with basic elements of game mechanics and to prove themselves in battle with a computer opponent.
Essentially, new players will get to play against bots, to familiarise themselves with the game without the intimidating prospect of playing against experienced players in their early matches. For a fuller description of this feature, click here.
There will be a major change to the principle by which spotted enemy vehicles are displayed. Previously, vehicles were displayed within a 1000m x 1000m area around the player's vehicle. This is now replaced by a circle with a 564m radius. The total spotting area is unchanged, and equals ~1 sq. km.
This will more realistically represent the way in which a tank may spot enemy vehicles. For a fuller description of this feature, click here.
The new and improved Rampage Mode now has an additional feature: a historically accurate map of the German city of Berlin. It is the very first map of its kind, and it promises a lot of exciting action for players.
Get set for some intense steel carnage as well, because high-tier vehicles can now participate in Rampage Mode!
You've given them a go during the Common Test, but now, it's for real. The new Tier X Centurion Action X has replaced the FV4202 as the UK Tech Tree's Tier X Medium Tank. The FV4202 has been rebalanced and returned to the battlefield as a Premium Tier VIII medium tank.
Several other vehicles have been rebalanced or replace. For a full list of these vehicles, check out the full patch notes by clicking on the link at the bottom of this article.
Expect to see the following tanks in mindblowing HD visuals the next time you open up World of Tanks after installing Update 9.12:
