Event Information
- The Thunderstorm event will last from July 26, 2021, 05:00 UTC+8 through August 9, 2021, 05:00 UTC+8.
- During the event, players can receive various rewards depending on the number of Fame Points earned, as well as produce a Premium vehicle in the Workshop.
- The number of rewards and whether a Premium vehicle can be produced depend on the number of battles fought and victories achieved, as well as on the strategic decisions of the clan leaders.
- Players earn Fame Points for participation in battles, and can exchange them for personal bonuses that increase the gain of personal Fame Points at any time during the event. When the event is over, these accumulated personal Fame Points can be exchanged for various rewards.
- In addition, all players will receive experimental modules, which change the technical characteristics of vehicles in battles on the Global Map.
- Clans will earn Fame Points both in battle and by completing special conditions. At any time during the event, clans may convert clan Fame Points into Research Points.
- Research Points can be invested into various technologies that increase the gain of clan Fame Points and simplify the clan's actions on the map. If done effectively, clans which wisely invest earned Fame Points will earn even more clan Fame Points during battles.
- The clans that achieve the best balance between earning Fame Points and investing them into technologies, while achieving good results in battles, will stand the best chance of success in the event.
- A clan tournament will be held after the event. Stay tuned to find out more!

The Workshop
The Workshop is a special mechanic that is accessible through the in-game Clan Dashboard during the event. It allows players to use the Resources earned after battles to produce Tier VII - VIII Premium vehicles.
Players may assemble any of the following Premium vehicles which they do not already own:
Earning Resources
Players can earn Resources from Global Map battles, based on the following factors. All team members will receive the same amount of Resources.
- Front: Battles fought on the Elite Front will grant the most Resources, followed by the Advanced Front and finally the Basic Front, which gives the least Resources.
- Battle type: Battles on regular provinces will give more Resources than battles on landing provinces or landing auctions (excluding battles against the province owner).
- Battle outcome: More Resources will be granted for a Victory than a Defeat.
- Number of enemy vehicles destroyed: The greater the number of enemy vehicles destroyed at the end of the battle, the more Resources the team will receive, regardless of who destroyed them.
- Enemy vehicles with Experimental Modules: Destroying more enemy vehicles that are equipped with Experimental Modules will earn the team additional Resources.
- The amount of Resources earned in each battle will be recorded in a battle log within the Workshop. This battle log will become available a few days after the Workshop opens.
Types of Resources
Scrap is the basic Resource unit. It can instantly be processed in the Workshop to obtain Ferrous and Non-ferrous metals, as well as Spare parts.
Resources can be used to produce Components for building Premium vehicles with: parts for the engine, armor, chassis, armament, metalware, and tools. If necessary, these Components can instantly be broken back down into Resources again, but bear in mind that less Resources will be restored than the original amount used to create them.
Both Components and vehicles take time to assemble; simply add each item to the Production Queue to begin. Only one item (including vehicles) can be assembled at a time. You can reorder items in the queue freely, and any items removed from the queue (including the item currently undergoing production) will be returned to the inventory in full as Resources.
Experimental Modules
Upon logging in to the client during the event, players will receive 18 Experimental Modules (3 of each type) to improve their tanks' technical characteristics. These Modules can only be used in battles on the Global Map, and cannot be replenished during the event.
Module | Effect |
---|---|
Fire-Control System |
+20% to gun stabilization |
Additional Armor Plating |
+20% to vehicle durability +25% to vehicle weight |
Heavy Charges |
+15% to damage caused +20% to aiming time |
Air Conditioning System |
+30% to major qualification of all crew members |
Composite Spall Liners |
+10% to vehicle durability +10% to vehicle weight |
Supercharging System |
+20% to engine power |
Vehicles equipped with Experimental Modules will be marked by special indicators on the battle interface.
Only one Module can be mounted per vehicle, and it can be demounted or remounted freely. It will be consumed after the battle regardless of whether the vehicle survives (except in the event of a technical victory). Be sure to save them for important battles!
After the event, all unused Modules will be removed.
Playing Field
- The playing field is divided into three Fronts: Basic, Advanced, and Elite.
- Prime Time (all Fronts): 16:00 UTC+8 - 23:00 UTC+8 (last turn starts at 22:00 UTC+8)
Fronts
- There are three Fronts with different access conditions, strategic mechanics, and amounts of personal and clan Fame Points to be earned.
- Each province of the Global Map has a certain number of bonuses that provide strategic advantages to the clan that owns it.
- The bonus distribution for the provinces will remain unchanged throughout the event.
1. Basic Front
- On the Basic Front, Fame Points can be earned only through battles.
- Battle format: 10v10, Tier IX - X
- The Basic Front consists of 117 provinces.
- Applications for landings in the territory of the Basic Front are available to any clan with at least 10 members who own a Tier X vehicle.
- A maximum of 10 simultaneous landing applications are available if the clan has at least 100 members who own a Tier X vehicle.
- Dynamic landings are available in the territory of the Basic Front
; applications for landing here can be submitted by clans that already own provinces on any front.
2. Advanced Front
- On the Advanced Front, Fame Points can be earned both through battles and by owning provinces.
- Battle format: 15v15, Tier X only
- The Advanced Front consists of 49 provinces.
- A maximum of 6 simultaneous landing applications are available if the clan has at least 90 members who own a Tier X vehicle.
- There are four ways to gain access to provinces of the Advanced Front:
- Capture a province that provides the "Application for a landing auction on the Advanced Front" bonus.
- Purchase the "Application for a landing auction on the Advanced Front" technology from the Laboratory.
- Make a bid (in Fame Points) for a landing auction. The minimum bid to gain access to the Advanced Front is 100 clan Fame Points (see rules below).
- Complete the "Experienced Raider" clan tasks (more about clan tasks below).
- Provinces of the Advanced Front provide a 10% bonus to Fame Points earned in battles as compared to the Basic Front (more about Fame Points below).
- Owning a province at the Advanced Front is rewarded with Clan Fame Points; the number awarded decreases for each day of ownership. Clan Fame Points are added during the calculation of the next turn, when battles in the province are over. If a clan leaves the map before the turn's calculation, it will not receive these clan Fame Points.
Duration of Advanced Front Province ownership (Play Days) Clan Fame Points awarded 1 4,000 2 3,000 3 2,000 4 1,000 5+ 0 - When a province is captured more than once in succession (excluding capture after Investment), the bonus remains unchanged, as if the clan has continued to own it. For example, a clan owns a province for three days, then loses it and re-captures it on the following day. In this case, the clan will receive 1,000 clan Fame Points for the first day of repeated ownership and 0 clan Fame Points for the following day.
- Investment resets the counter of province ownership, and if it is captured again, the schedule of awarded income starts anew.
3. Elite Front
- On the Elite Front, Fame Points can be earned through battles, by owning provinces, and for the number of provinces owned.
- Battle format: 15v15, Tier X only
- The Elite Front consists of 15 provinces.
- A maximum of 6 simultaneous landing applications are available if the clan has at least 90 members who own a Tier X vehicle.
- There are three ways of gaining access to provinces of the Elite Front:
- Capture a province that provides the "Application for a landing auction on the Elite Front" bonus.
- Purchase the "Application for a landing auction on the Elite Front" technology from the Laboratory.
- Make a bid (in Fame Points) for a landing auction. The minimum bid to gain access to the Elite Front is 10,000 clan Fame Points (see rules below).
- Provinces of the Elite Front provide a 20% bonus to Fame Points earned in battles as compared to the Basic Front (more about Fame Points below).
- Just like at the Advanced Front, owning a province at the Elite Front is rewarded with Clan Fame Points; the number awarded decreases for each day of ownership. Clan Fame Points are added during the calculation of the next turn, when battles in the province are over. If a clan leaves the map before the turn's calculation, it will not receive these clan Fame Points.
Duration of Elite Front Province ownership (Play Days) Clan Fame Points awarded 1 12,000 2 9,000 3 6,000 4 3,000 5+ 0 - At the end of a play day, clans that own groups of provinces (4 or more) in the territory of the Elite Front are rewarded with additional clan Fame Points, depending on the number of provinces owned, when all battles on the provinces are over.
Number of Elite front provinces owned clan Fame Points awarded 1 0 2 3 4 18,000 5 6 36,000 7 8+ 90,000
If a clan retains ownership of its provinces until the end of the battles on the provinces and then leaves the Global Map (not by starting Investment), it will receive clan Fame Points. - Vehicle lock is ON in battles for provinces on the Elite Front.
- Vehicles destroyed in any battle in the territory of the Elite Front get locked for 36 hours. Upon winning a battle against the province owner, vehicles get locked for 18 hours.
- The vehicle lock time can be decreased using special technology (available from the Laboratory).
- Locked vehicles can be used in battles in the territory of the Basic and Advanced Fronts.
Clan Improvements
Clans can use various bonuses and technologies to accelerate the acquisition of Fame Points.
These are divided into two groups:
- Technologies that can be purchased from the Laboratory for Research Points, or received as rewards by completing clan tasks
- Bonuses enjoyed by capturing and owning provinces that provide such bonuses.
The effects of bonuses and technologies stack – see more details below.
1. Research Points and Investment
- Investment is a special mechanic to exchange clan Fame Points for Research Points (at a particular exchange rate). The exchange rate can be improved using particular technologies.
- When using this mechanic, all pending auction bids are cancelled and the clan leaves the Global Map; all accumulated clan Fame Points are exchanged for Research Points. Only the clan leader or executive officers can use the Investment functionality.
- The exchange of Fame Points for Research Points is performed after the calculation for the upcoming turn.
- Investment cannot be started if Prime Time has begun for the provinces in which the clan has scheduled battles.
- Once Investment is complete, the full bonus from provinces in the Advanced and Elite Fronts can once again be awarded (see the respective Fronts' rules for details).
- The exchange of Fame Points for Research Points is irreversible. Be careful when performing exchanges, especially at the end of the event!
2. The Laboratory
- The Laboratory is a special store where Research Points can be spent on various technologies.
- All currently active improvements of the clan can be viewed in the Laboratory.
3. Bonuses
- Each province on the event map features various bonuses.
- Bonuses are activated once a clan occupies a province, and terminated when the clan loses the province.
- If a clan owns several provinces that provide the same bonus, the effect does not stack. The clan gets the effect only from the most effective bonus.
- For example, a clan owns two provinces. One of them provides a bonus of +3% to personal Fame Points earned, while the other province provides a bonus of +10% to personal Fame Points earned. Even with both bonuses active, the clan members will only get +10% to the personal Fame Points they earn.
4. Technologies
- Each technology can be obtained once during the event and remains in effect until the event is over.
- A technology takes effect as soon as it is purchased in the Laboratory or after the clan receives it for completing a clan task.
- The effects of several technologies of the same type stack. Therefore, if a clan gets a technology that provides +5% to Fame Points earned, and later earns a technology that provides +10% to Fame Points earned, the clan members will receive a total bonus of +15% to Fame Points they earn.
- However, the Increased effect of bonuses provided by provinces technology does not apply to auction application bonuses.
- The cost of each technology may change dynamically depending on the number of clans that have purchased the technology. The more clans that get a particular technology, the less expensive it is for clans that do not have it yet.
5. Event Bonuses and Technologies Available
Effect | Technologies | Bonuses |
---|---|---|
Increased number of clan Fame Points earned in battles | Basic, Advanced & Elite Fronts | |
Increased number of clan Fame Points for owning provinces on the Advanced and Elite Fronts | Basic, Advanced & Elite Fronts | |
Application for auction on the Advanced Front | Basic Front | |
Application for auction on the Elite Front | Basic & Advanced Fronts | |
Increased reward for owning provinces in the Elite Front territory | Elite Front | |
Increased effect of bonuses provided by provinces | ||
Decreased duration of vehicle lock | ||
Improved rate of converting clan Fame Points into Research Points |
Personal Bonuses
Players can exchange personal Fame Points for personal bonuses that speed up the earning of personal Fame Points. These bonuses may be redeemed from the Clan Dashboard in the game client, and are activated as soon as they are received by the player.
This exchange is irreversible, so think carefully before proceeding! Making the right choice will allow you to earn more Fame Points and rank high in the event, while errors in calculations could lead to a lower ranking than you might expect.
Landing Auctions on Provinces of the Advanced and Elite Fronts
- Players need to use landing auctions to get to the Advanced and Elite Fronts.
- There are two ways of participating in an auction: get access to an auction via a technology or bonus, or make a bid in clan Fame Points.
- The main feature of landing auctions is that there can be more than one winner in an auction. After the auction ends, the auction winners meet for a tournament. The tournament winner faces the province owner. The maximum number of auction winners depends on the Front—16 winners for the Advanced Front, and 8 winners for the Elite Front. These numbers may be increased as necessary.
- 8 applications for the Advanced Front landing auction and 4 applications for the Elite Front landing auction are reserved for clans that have earned access by capturing a province with the corresponding bonus, or by purchasing this bonus in the Laboratory.
- Until auction application time ends (one turn before battles start), all clans can make bids with clan Fame Points in the landing auction, or submit landing applications using the clan bonuses and technologies they have.
- One turn before the battle starts, the tournament bracket will be generated. It will include clans that have applied for a landing auction with bonuses and technologies, clans that have made the highest bids in clan Fame Points, and clans that have landed on the province "by land".
- Example: 23 clans applied for a landing auction on the Advanced Front. 2 clans own provinces that provide the corresponding bonus, and 4 clans have purchased the application in the Laboratory. 14 clans have made bids with clan Fame Points, and 3 clans have landed on the province "by land".
One turn before battles start, the tournament bracket is generated. It will include 6 clans that have the corresponding bonuses (2 clans that own provinces with the relevant bonus and 4 clans that have purchased applicable technologies), the 10 clans that have made the highest bids with clan Fame Points, and the 3 clans that have landed on the province "by land". The 4 clans that have made the smallest bids will not be able to participate in the tournament.
- If several clans make the same bid, priority will be given to the clan that made the bid first.
- Example: 10 clans have made identical bids for a landing auction for the Elite Front. In addition, 2 clans that own the corresponding technology have applied for this auction.
In this case, 8 clans will win the auction — the 2 clans that own the right technology and the 6 clans who made their bids earlier than the other clans.
- Example: 10 clans have made identical bids for a landing auction for the Elite Front. In addition, 2 clans that own the corresponding technology have applied for this auction.
- All unsuccessful bid amounts are returned to the clans that made them.
- Battles between the auction winners and clans that land on the auction province "by land" are fought according to the standard rules applied to tournaments among challengers. In addition, a x5 multiplier is applied to personal and clan Fame Points earned in these battles.
Fame Points
- Clans compete for Fame Points to claim the most valuable rewards of the event.
- Both clans and players earn Fame Points in battles.
- All players in a team earn the same amount of Fame Points for each individual battle, multiplied by their own Personal Bonus coefficient.
- The formula for calculating Fame Points earned in battles is as follows:
- Fame_Points — Fame Points earned in battle.
- Fame_points_base — the basic number of Fame Points for the event: 1,000 on the Basic Front, 1,650 on the Advanced Front, and 1,800 on the Elite Front.
- Battle_type_c — battle type multiplier.
- Event_value_c — game event multiplier = 1.
- Еlo_c — Elo rating multiplier, corresponds to the Front's Elo rating for Tier X vehicles.
- Team_XP — the amount of experience the team has earned in the battle.
- Battle_XP — the total amount of experience the teams have earned in the battle.
- Team_size — the set team size for the Front: 10 players (Basic Front), or 15 players (Advanced & Elite Fronts).
- Bonus_р — the multiplier provided by active bonuses for Fame Points earned in battles (different for clans and players).
- Technology_р — the multiplier provided by active technologies for Fame Points earned in battles (for clans only).

In this case, on the sixth day, the qualifying clan will receive a special Investment offer granting 50% more Research Points. The offer will remain available for 24 hours and will be made to a clan only once during the event.
Event Progression
- At the beginning of the event, all clans start with 0 Research Points.
- On the first day of the event, all provinces on the Basic Front will be landing provinces. The maximum number of landing applications is 16.

- On the second day of the event, dynamic landing auctions will be enabled in the territories of the Advanced and Elite Fronts.
- On the last day of the event, after the end of the landing tournament battles, new dynamic landings and auctions will no longer be generated.
- On August 9, 04:59 UTC+8, the map will freeze, the event will end, and results will be finalized.
- The process of crediting rewards will begin and reward vehicle exchange will become available on August 12 (date subject to change as necessary).
Special Penalties for No-Shows in Battle
- The total value of penalties will be calculated according to the total sum of clan Fame Points, including the bids that were made but not won.
- Clan Fame Points will be removed from the clan's account. Therefore, after the penalties and auctions results, it will be possible for the clan account to display a negative quantity of clan Fame Points.

2. Personal Rewards
- Players who have earned personal Fame Points during the event can exchange them for Personal Rewards.
- Once the event is over, the cost of each reward vehicle will be displayed in personal Fame Points. This cost will be equal to the number of personal Fame Points earned by the player ranked 1,200th in the Alley of Fame. In addition to personal Fame Points, a player will need 4,000 bonds in order to redeem a reward vehicle.
- Only vehicles that the player does not already have in their Garage can be selected for redemption. The following reward vehicles are available:
- All reward vehicles come with the Veteran style except the Carro da Combattimento 45 t.
- Exchange of Fame Points for Personal Rewards will be available until August 26, 04:59 UTC+8.
- All Personal Rewards and their cost in personal Fame Points will be available only on the Clan Dashboard in the game client.
3. Clan Leaderboard
Some mechanics of the event are irreversible, and may affect clan progress in the event any unfair actions are performed by clan officers or any accounts are hacked. Please take responsibility for your security and consider the following before starting the event:
- For clan commanders: Be cautious when selecting players who have access to officers' permissions and map operations; it is a good idea to limit the number of such players for the duration of the event.
- Never transfer your account to any third party—it is not secure and violates the game rules.
- We strongly recommend changing your account password before the start of the event.
- Depending on the clan's position on the Clan Leaderboard, the sum of the bonds received by members may be increased by the following multiplier:

- Thus, if a player is among the top 7% of players by personal Fame Points in the region, and his clan is among the top 7% of clans in the same region, the player receives 800 bonds (from Personal Leaderboard) *5 (clan multiplier) = 4,000 bonds.
- Each player obtains the effect of the clan multiplier only from the clan to which he belongs at the moment of the end of the event, and only if he has fought at least 5 battles in the event as a part of this clan.
- Unlike other rewards, game gold shall be distributed for a determined position, not for being among a certain percentage of players. The total prize pool of 1,300,000 will be distributed among clans in the following way:
