UPDATE: Steel Hunt is now live in Update 9.9! Click here to learn more.

Tank Commanders,

Domination Mode is undergoing some changes to make its gameplay more varied and exciting!

Currently known as 'Steel Hunt', a preliminary version of the game event will become available for solo players and platoons with the launch of the 9.9 Common Test. The maximum battle duration will be set as 10 minutes.

Battles will take place on two maps:

  1. Ghost Town
  2. Icebound

The primary objective is to score more Victory Points than the other players/platoons before the battle ends. The battle ends immediately if one player or platoon reaches the required number of Victory Points before time runs out.

The following vehicles will be available for use:

  • Bat.-Châtillon 25 t (D)
  • IS-7 (D)
  • Leopard 1 (D)
  • T57 Heavy Tank (D)
  • Object 268 (D)

The combat characteristics of these vehicles are identical to those of their existing in-game counterparts.

The vehicles will be added to players’ Garages for free at the start of the game event. To enter the battle, players will have to prepare all the vehicles and click on the Battle! button. Players are free to install Equipment and Consumables as well as crew the vehicles with available tankers from the Garage.

Key Features of the Game Event

The main characteristic of the new game event is the division of combat tasks between solo and platoon players:

  • Solo players: Their main goal is to deal damage and destroy enemies. They play individually, without allies. Flags captured by solo players are absorbed. Victory Points are awarded for dealing damage, destroying enemies, and absorbing flags.
  • Platoons: Players can also form three-player platoons. The main goal is to deliver flags to designated areas. Platoons represent stand-alone combat units; all other battle participants are enemies. Victory Points earned by platoon members are combined and applied to the overall battle score. Victory Points are awarded for delivering flags (5 points per flag delivery), dealing damage (3 points per 1,000 damage), and destroying enemies (1 point per vehicle destroyed).

During the battle, the following Combat Reserves will be available to players:

  • Artillery Strike
  • Airstrike

Combat Reserves will become available after performing effective actions in battle: dealing damage and destroying enemies. To use Combat Reserves, press 7 or 8 and choose the target point. When using Airstrike, you will also use the mouse to adjust the direction of the incoming aircraft, affecting the shape of the bombardment zone.

Battle Format of the Steel Hunt Event

During the test of the new event, three battle formats will be available for players (battle formats are picked randomly during team assembly):

  1. Mixed format. Four platoons and four solo players fight simultaneously. Battles are fought in an “Everyone vs. Everyone” format. A platoon of three players or a solo player is considered a combat unit. The first platoon or solo player to score 100 or more Victory Points, or the platoon or solo player with the most points when time runs out, wins. Victory Points are scored for dealing damage, destroying enemies, and delivering/absorbing flags. Platoon players earn 5 points per flag delivery, 3 points per 1,000 damage, and 1 point per vehicle destroyed. Solo players earn 5 points per 1,000 damage, 5 points per vehicle destroyed, and 1 point per flag absorption.

  2. Platoon format. Four platoons take part in the battle. Battles are fought in an
“Everyone vs. Everyone” format. The first platoon to score 100 Victory Points, or the platoon with the most points when time runs out, wins. Victory Points are earned for delivering flags, destroying enemies, and dealing damage. Platoon players earn 5 points per flag delivery, 3 points per 1,000 damage, and 1 point per vehicle destroyed.

  3. Single format. Twelve players fight in the battle. Battles are fought in Deathmatch format. There are no flags; Victory Points are earned for dealing damage and destroying enemies. A player can win either by earning 20 points (ending the game) or by having the most points when the timer runs out. Solo players earn 1 point per 1,000 damage and 1 point per vehicle destroyed.
