Experimental “Construction Kit” Mode

World of Tanks is getting more exciting – in the nearest future we are going to introduce a special game mode called “Construction Kit”. The main purpose of this mode is to allow players to build their own combat vehicles piece by piece using modules available for a certain vehicle tier.

How does it work?

“Construction Kit” is all about mounting together modules from different vehicles of the same tier without any limitations. In this mode, you will be able to mix and match parts of all vehicle nations and types.

For example, you have completely researched the first branch of soviet TDs (“SU-152” branch). Now you plan to research the branch of Chinese heavy tanks and you have already researched the 110 (Tier VIII). Using the “Construction Kit” you will be able to install on the 110 modules from the researched ISU-152 (Tier VIII TD) – like its famous BL-10 gun.

But that’s not all! As you know, there are many modules that are compatible with vehicles of different tiers. For example, a BL-10 gun can be mounted on an ISU-152 (Tier VIII) as well as on an Object 704 (Tier IX). With this feature, you will be able to install the BL-10 gun on every Tier VIII and Tier IX vehicle you have researched.

Before we finish, it’s worth mentioning that such vehicles will only be able to battle against “Construction Kit” tanks in order to avoid balance disruption. Players who ace this mode can look forward to earning a new medal - «Mutant Hunter». Rules regarding conferral of the medal and further details about “Construction Kit” mode will be announced later.

And now, leave it to your inspiration! Engineer the most unthinkable tanks and SPGs that you’ve ever dreamed of. Combine the mobility of a Hellcat with a KV-1S turret, IS-4 armour with an auto-loader gun from a T57 Heavy, and the well-armoured hull of an ST-1. You can also create epic tanks by mounting the gun carriage of a Waffenträger auf Pz. IV on a Т-54 medium tank!
