TanksAsia Masters National Series: Status Report (6 Nov)

Dear Tank Commanders,

TanksAsia Masters National Series is underway now and the competition is heating up as we progress further into the tournament. If you haven't been following the live stream, we'll summarise the events here so that you can keep updated with the progress and results of the tournament. Read on to get updates about the status of each country.



 

Australia

Australia was the first country to start off the National Series and the tournament has already concluded. Team SEA Cucumbers, who came out tops among the competition will move on to Season 2 as well as represent Australia at the World Cyber Games (WCG) 2013. Malaysia

Qualifiers for National Series Malaysia are now over and the last stop for the qualifying teams will be at Blitzone Cyber Café on 17th November where we will determine the team who will advance to TanksAsia Masters Season 2.

The teams who will compete in the finals are:

  • Oozma Kappa
  • METAL
  • U.P.T / [ATOM]
  • Head Banging Billy Goats
  • RADIX
  • Battle Hub
  • smile destruction
  • The Forgotten

 

Malaysia Finals:

  • Date: 17th November, 2013 
  • Time: 11:00am – 9:00pm
  • Venue: Blitzone Cyber Café, 25125, Unit 3A, Lebuh Bandar Utama, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor


 

Philippines

Philippines has already wrapped up their qualifiers and winning teams from each of the 8 regions will try to outdo one another in the finals which will be held on 23rd November at Mineski Ktipunan, Quezon City.

  • Trigger Happy Bunnies (Cavite)
  • Bacolod United (Bacolod)
  • PVP Tribu Sugbo (Cebu)
  • PVP Eyes on the Board (Davao)
  • Gensan Allied Tankers (General Santos)
  • PVP Royale Mastermind (Iloilo)
  • Kagayan Alliance Team (Cagayan De Oro)

 

Philippines Finals:

  • Date: 23 November, 2013 (Saturday)
  • Time: 1pm - 5pm (PH local time)
  • Venue: Mineski Infinity Katipunan, Quezon City

Singapore

On 2nd November, TanksAsia Masters National Series took place at the Wargaming Command Centre with teams The Coalition - Singapore, Project Phantom, Insidious Gaming and Wildcard vying for the championship title. Project Phantom gave the crowd an outstanding performance and managed to defeat Insidious Gaming who were placed second in Season 1. They will move on to Season 2 to compete for a piece of the USD 60,000 prize pool.

Taiwan

The going is about to get even tougher for our Taiwanese counterparts as the top 8 teams from the qualifiers stage will be battling for the National Series championship and to qualify for a slot in TanksAsia Masters Season 2. These teams will be facing off in the National Series Taiwan finals on 9th November:

Taiwan Finals:

  • Date: 09 November, 2013 (Saturday)
  • Time: 11am - 7:30pm (Taiwan local time)
  • Venue: 2F., No.102, Wenlin Rd., Shilin Dist., Taipei City 111, Taiwan

Live broadcast will be shown on the Chinese twitch channel.



 

Thailand

Qualifiers for Thailand have been split into 5 areas and 4 have already concluded. Click on any of the links below for the event report and photos of the qualifiers. (Note: news is in Thai language)

Currently, the teams who qualified are:

  • TTT (Song Khla City)
  • The Battle (Song Khla City)
  • Hell Cat (Chiang Mai City)
  • Gangster Squad (Khonkean City)
  • G Speed-Innocent (Bangkok City, Group 1)
  • RTA-E (Bangkok City, Group 1)

The last qualifier for Thailand will be held in Bangkok at Neolution E-Sport Stadium on 09 November, 2013 (Saturday). If you haven't signed up for the Thai National Series yet, this is your last chance to qualify for a chance at a spot in Season 2. Sign up today!
