Tank Commanders,

These are the list of changes and features that will be implemented on the 9.7 Common Test server.

These are preliminary Common Test notes and do not include the full details of all changes. The full list will be available upon the release of Update 9.7.

List of changes between versions 9.7 Common Test #4 and 9.7 Common Test #3

  • Fixed an issue with switching to view a friendly vehicle after being destroyed in battle.
  • Fixed many issues in the new features introduced in Team Battle mode.
  • Fixed some issues with the new Chat functions.
  • Fixed some issues with playback of battle replays.
  • Fixed some issues with the usage of Combat Reserves.
  • Fixed some issues with the interface in Strongholds.
  • Improved overall performance on the Overlord map.
  • Fixed some issues with certain objects on the Overlord map.
  • Fixed some issues with the landscape on the Overlord map.
  • Fixed some issues with the visual model of the following vehicles:
    • AMX 30 1er Prototype
    • FV201 (A45)
    • JagdPz E-100
    • Somua S35
  • Fixed the issues with the damage model of the IS-4.

  • Fixed many issues in the new Team Battle mode feature.
  • Fixed an issue with resetting the Sisterhood of Steel perk when all EXP available to a female crew member was lost.
  • Fixed the display of personal missions that are already started.
  • Fixed the lighting on the Overlord map.
  • Fixed some issues with certain objects on the Overlord map.
  • Fixed some issues with the landscape on the Overlord map.
  • Fixed a freeze bug that occurs when loading a map while having a Chat window open.
  • Fixed a freeze bug that occurs upon entering a training room.
  • Fixed the shape of the Object 704 tank destroyer's gun mantlet.
  • Fixed some issues with the visual model of the following vehicles:
    • FV201 (A45)
    • 8.8cm Krupp-Steyr Waffentrager
    • Object 244
    • T-34-85

System

  • Fixed many hang-ups and crashes of the game client.
  • Optimized performance of the game client on some PC configurations.
  • Optimized performance of some special effects.
  • Optimized stability of game servers.
  • Fixed issue with felled tree trunks not being transparent in some cases in Sniper mode.

 

Vehicles

  • Fixed positioning of Emblems on the T-15 German light tank.
  • Removed changes to shell penetration and vehicle characteristics added in the first Common Test of version 9.7.
  • Fixed some issues with the visual model of the AMX 30 B.
  • Fixed some issues with the damage models of the following vehicles: IS-5 (Object 730), Renault G1.
  • Removed the new visual model of the SuperPershing in order to make improvements to it.
  • Increased profitability of the following special vehicles: Object 907, M60, VK 7201, T95E6.
  • Added the following vehicles for testing during the Common Test:
    • M56 Scorpion, Tier VII U.S. tank destroyer
    • T-54 mod. 1, Tier VIII U.S.S.R. medium tank

 

Maps

  • Removed the Northwest map from the Random Battle mode.
  • Fixed some clipping on the new Overlord map.
  • Fixed the issues with the visual and damage models of some environmental objects.
  • Fixed flickering of some objects when rotating the camera in the Premium Garage.

 

Interface and Other Changes

  • Fixed many issues with the new features of the Team Battle mode.
  • Fixed some issues with the new Chat features.
  • Improved hit and penetration marks on vehicles.
  • Fixed some issues with interface scaling.
  • Fixed issue with unavailability of the 15th personal mission.

List of changes between versions 9.7 Common Test #1 and 9.6

Important

  • Upgraded BigWorld version to 2.8.1. Some instability in functioning of the Common Test client and server during testing is possible due to this.
  • Implemented separation of new and experienced players in battles (for Tier I–III vehicles).

  • Added the following vehicles for testing by Supertest players:

  • Reworked the following vehicles in HD quality: IS-4, E 100, JagdPz E 100, Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H, ELC AMX, T26E4 SuperPershing.
  • Fixed the issues with damage model of the Stuart I vehicle.
  • Reduced the view range of SPGs.
  • Reduced penetration of standard shells for some high-tier guns.
  • Rebalanced some vehicles.

 

Maps and Objects

  • Added new map: Overlord, dedicated to the Allied landing in Normandy in 1944.
  • Improved the gameplay features of the Live Oaks map.
  • Improved the effects on the Karelia, Westfield, El Halluf, and Airfield maps.
  • Fixed the issues with the visual and damage models of some environmental objects.

 

Chat Improvements

  • Updated all the existing emoticons.
  • Added the "Accept friend requests" setting. With this setting disabled, all incoming friend requests will be automatically declined.
  • Improved the online indicator of contacts for colorblind players. With the "Colorblind mode" setting enabled, the "In battle" status will be displayed in purple instead of red.
  • Added the ability to create, edit, and delete notes for contacts in your Contact list.
  • Added a "Chat blocked" attribute. The attribute is displayed near the name of those players who are your mutual contacts and were banned by a moderator.
  • Fixed a large number of issues with the interface of new Contact lists added in version 9.6.

  • Fixed many hang-ups and crashes of the game client.
  • Reworked the display of hits and penetration marks on a vehicle.
  • Reworked some effects of damage caused to game objects by shell hits.
  • Fixed the issues with text conditions of some personal missions.
  • Fixed some issues with interface in the Stronghold mode.
  • Fixed some minor issues with interface.
  • Fixed an issue with the Motion Blur Effect.
  • Fixed some issues with the playback of battle replays.
  • Fixed the issue in calculation of penetration damage to vehicles' screens caused by HE shells, when it was considered that the shell penetrated the main armor and the event “internal explosion” was triggered, which could cause injury to all crew members, although in this case only some crew members should be injured.
  • Added the ability to use Combat Reserves in Skirmishes of the absolute format.
  • Added the ability to scale parts of the interface to provide support for higher resolution displays.
  • Fixed the issue with the aiming circle declining lower in Arcade aim than in the Sniper mode if the vehicle was standing on an inclined surface.
  • Fixed track tension of HD vehicles in the Premium Garage.
