Dear Tank Commanders,
Wargaming will be in Australia with feet on the ground in March to plan out some exciting events that will be coming up for our AUS/NZ player base later this year.
While in Australia, we want to take this opportunity to get to meet all of our AUS/NZ player base. We could put on a fancy well organised event for a limited number of select high profile players or we could have something more informal and get to meet everyone. So of course the only option was to do both!
Here is the details of the open to all, informal meet and greet.
Venue: Puckapunyal Military Museum
Date: 10 March, 2013 (Sunday)
Time: 10am to 4pm (Day)
The museum now has more than 70 Armoured Fighting Vehicles on display in Hopkins Barracks, the home of Australian Armour at Puckapunyal, Victoria. Covering an area of over 4,000 square metres, the museum is one of the largest armour museums in the Southern hemisphere.
THE PUCKAPUNYAL MILITARY AREA (PMA) IS AN ACTIVE MILITARY BASE AND STRICT ACCESS CONTROL MEASURES ARE ENFORCED.
All persons aged 16 and over must produce some form of official Government body photographic identification before being allowed to proceed to the museum. Any ONE of the following forms of photographic identification are the only accepted identity cards that may be submitted as a form of positive identification.
Visitors will be provided with visitors Identity Card which must be worn at all times whilst in the PMA.
The museum is located on the Army base at Puckapunyal, just outside the Victorian town of Seymour, just one hour's (90 mins) drive north of Melbourne. As the base is a functioning military base, all visitors must stop at the gatehouse and obtain a daypass (photo id will be necessary, see Entry Requirements listed above).
RAAC Memorial and Army Tank Museum
PUCKAPUNYAL VIC 3662
With Puckapunyal being an active millitary base, it is not possible for us to call in additional food trucks or get pizza delivered. Food Services provided by Puckapunyal Army Corps will be limited. It is likely the local Army Corps sporting clubs will be putting on a Sausage Sizzle.
Once the number of visiters are obtained, we will transfer these details to the Army Corps Base and get more accurate details on the food services they will have available.
