It's time to say 'Ni Hao' and extend a warm welcome to the newest residents who have just moved into the neighbourhood. The Chinese have arrived and they'll be here to stay, so take the time now to familiarize yourselves with these tanks and get to know them better. The Chinese tech tree comprises of a combination of other nations' tanks with some tweaks and improvements made to them, so you can get to see familiar favourites like the T-34-85, T-44 and IS-3, albeit in a different light. The Chinese have soaked up all progressive engineering designs of foreign engineers and it is this creative approach to the adaptation and modernization of the vehicles that have helped the Chinese engineers to modify the original modifications of classic designs to create their own unique war machines. The Chinese tanks have adopted the most successful battle characteristics of their predecessors: maneuverability of the Americans, accuracy of the British, rate of fire of the French and the striking power of the Soviet. The Chinese tanks are the renaissance of the Soviet vehicles of the war and post-war period.
A total of 17 light, medium and heavy tanks have been added to this new tech tree and although you may recognise some of them as belonging to another nation, the Chinese branch gives you the chance to experience these beloved vehicles from a different angle. Since we're all pretty familiar with the tanks already, we'll get along fine, I'm sure!
In this Update 8.3, we'll be witnessing a list of changes to some tanks of the French, German, British, American and Soviet tank trees. Most of the changes to the vehicles will revolve mainly around the ability of the tanks to traverse on different terrains and the value of their hit points, while other aspects such as view range, reverse speed and reload time of canons are taken into consideration. The tanks that are affected by these changes are as follows:
Besides the introduction of the Chinese tanks, which forms the main bulk of changes in Update 8.3, other changes in this update focuses mostly on fixes such as tank model errors and armor discrepancies on a number of vehicles and some minor fixes on the battle results screen and font quality in the interface etc.
