Update 8.10 Preliminary Patch Notes [Updated]

These are the list of changes and features that will be implemented on the 8.10 public test server.

These are preliminary patch notes and do not include the full details of all changes. The full list will be available upon the release of the 8.10 patch.


List of changes between versions 8.10 #2 and 8.10 #3

  • Fixed disappearance of flag on bases on some AMD GPU configurations
  • Fixed the display of 12.8 cm Ferdinand TD gun
  • Fixed the display of 76 mm Gun M1A1 on T1 Heavy Tank
  • Fixed the purchase of gold ammunition in maintenance window after display of "collecting information" icon
  • Fixed the client freeze, while dismissing a tanker on some accounts
  • Fixed the detalization of water on maximum settings
  • Fixed the progress of base capture in 'Encounter' battle type

List of changes between versions 8.10 #1 and 8.10 #2

  • Fixed some performance drops on certain hardware settings, which appeared in 8.10 version.
  • Fixed some graphical artifacts, which were noted on PCs with certain hardware configuration: black squares, glowing objects, deformed models of broken trees, shining leaves of trees.
  • From the 'Team Battle' game mode all new maps, added in 8.10, were removed.
  • Rebalanced STB-1 tank: dispersion on turret traverse increased by +17%, aiming time increased by 0.2s.
  • The main color of Japanese tank changed to green.
  • Restored all color of Chinese premium tanks.
  • A 5% XP income increased rate was added to 'Team Battle' game mode.
  • Changed the formula for personal rating calculation (details in final 8.10 release notes).
  • Fixed failure to close some windows upon pressing 'Esc' button.
  • Fixed the overlap of discount icons over name of several tanks in the 'Research' tab
  • Fixed incorrect sorting of players by XP in after battle statistics window after receiving reward for 'Honorable Resistance'
  • Fixed incorrect display of main skill in the crew panel and in the informational pop-up of tanker.
  • Fixed the display of track destruction animation at the moment of the tank model passing from the damaged to destroyed state.
  • Added notification about automatic graphic setting changes during the first launch of the client.
  • Fixed problems of fog reflections in the water.
  • Fixed overly-prominent effects density on some maps.
  • Fixed some visual model issues for following tanks: Rhm.-Borsig Waffentrager, Pz.Sfl. V, IS-6, StuG III, Object 416, AMX 50 B, M4 Sherman, T1 Heavy Tank.
  • Fixed incorrect sound of Object 430 gun fire.
  • Fixed incorrect size of Ferdinand TD.
  • Players will receive a repeated mastery badge in the after-battle statistics in the case where all conditions are fulfilled.
  • Changed water settings on some maps.
  • Improved ambient effects on most maps.
  • Fixed incorrect icons of the following tanks: SU-14-1, Т54Е1, Waffentrager auf E 100, FV207, Waffentrager auf Pz. IV, Birch Gun.
  • Fixed early drowning of T92 SPG.
  • Fixed small mistakes related to lighting and collision models of some buildings on the new 'Hidden Village' map
  • Fixed incorrect display of some specials.
  • For the 'Type 5 Ke-Ho', tank battle levels range was decreased.
  • Fixed the doubling of clan name in the full team lists display mode.
  • Fixed rare cases of client freezing on eternal 'Updating crew' status.
  • Fixed incorrect camera placement at start of the battle.
  • Returned possibility to change the turret turning mechanism for the Waffentrager auf Pz. IV. TD.
  • Fixed text on 'Bloom' effect setting change.
  • Fixed errors in sound reproduction for spotted enemy notification.
  • Updated loading screens for the majority of maps.
  • Fixed the display of amounts in statistics tab upon first entering of menu.
  • Fixed failure to select players by clicking on nickname in the team list.
  • Fixed display of nicknames and vehicle names in grey for the colour-blind mode. 
  • Added second emblem slot for the both turrets of Panther II tank.
  • Added second emblem slot for the second turret of E-50 tank.
  • Fixed placement of emblems and inscriptions on AMX 50 B tank.
  • Fixed 'darkening' of the map while using 'Low' shadow settings.

  • Japanese premium Type 3 Chi-Nu Kai tank added to the in-game shop (Tier V)
  • Chinese premium 'Type 64' light tank added to the in-game shop (Tier VI)
  • New map in Japanese setting, 'Hidden village', added for testing. Some parameters: 1000x1000m large,  spring, village in the valley.

 

Gameplay and Mechanics

  • Reworked and/or fixed several gameplay moments on 'Karelia', 'Mines', 'El-Halluf', 'Airfield' and 'Steppes' maps.
  • 'Airfield', 'Komarin', 'Live-Oaks', 'Siegfried line', 'Sand River', 'Serene Coast', 'Swamp', 'Tundra' maps added to the Team battles game mode.
  • Added possibility for AP and APCR shells to go through 'small' objects: fences, benches, colums etc. With object penetration final armour penetration parameter of the shell will be decreased and object destroyed. 
  • Removed crediting of Battle Hero achievements, Epic Achievements, Commemorative Achievements, several medals and titles of Honour: 'Survivor', 'Kamikadze', 'Invincible', 'Raider', 'Bombardier', 'Reaper', 'Sharpshooter' from Tank Company battles.

 

Changes in Vehicles

  • Fixed shape of T69 and T54E1 turrets
  • Fixed armoring of 'IS-3' turret for WZ-111 model 1-4 tank
  • Fixed model of frontal armour 'nose' of Lorraine 40t. tank
  • Fixed earlier drowning of German Rhm.-Borsig Waffenträger TD
  • Changed length of 12.8cm Rhm.-Borsig Waffenträger. TD gun
  • Added welds and 'window' for reticle in Waffenträger auf E 100 hatch
  • Improved suspension quality for all tanks on IS and KV basis.
  • Fixed Object 140 turret armoring
  • Increased speed of Maus turret traverse by 2 degrees.
  • Changes to characteristics of Lowe tank for historical reasons: top armoured plate thickness increased by 20mm, weight decreased by 2.5 tons, increased ammo storage to 40 rounds, increased gun inclination and declination angles.
  • Fixed small incorrect points of damage and visual models of Conqueror and Panzerjäger I
  • Fixed the length of E-50 guns, which was incorrect since gun mantlets rework
  • Changed the color tint for Chinese premium tanks: Type 59, T-34-3, 112, Type 64

 

Graphics and UI

  • For improved graphics setting:
    • Reworked lighting on all maps: re-set density, colors, brightness; changed location of light sources. Significantly increased accuracy of textures
    • Fully re-worked fog
    • Added dynamic shadows from clouds
    • Added possibility to select one full-screen filters from predefined list, which varies by density, colours, brightness settings
    • Reworked 'Bloom' effect
    • Added light rays effects and lenses on the sun
    • Added 'Motion blur' effect for movement
  • Significantly improved 'Battle Missions' UI
  • Added information about current specials and discounts to the client
  • Improved and fixed small issues in 'Statistics' tab.
  • Significantly improved and added several fixes to Team Battles UI
  • Added 'Save last replay' option, which stores replays of only last battle by removing previous one.
  • In after battle statistics credit and XP received for 'Honorable resistance'  separated from XP and credits received for the battle
  • Experience is now converted to Free XP according to the vehicles list order
  • Returned 'Last time player played a battle' to the 'Statistics' tab.
  • Increased the drawing distance preset for different settings: 'low' settings will now have same preset as 'very high' settings, while 'minimal' reserve preset similar to 'high'  settings level of graphics
  • Created a smoother zooming of camera with mouse scrolling in arcade mode

 

Fixes

  • Fixed the placing of Pz.Kpfw V/IV emblems on turret
  • Fixed rare cases of not storing of user settings on server
  • Fixed performance drop at display of tank destruction message
  • Fixed error of voice chat turning off when leaving a battle
  • Fixed logic of frag counter in the top part of the screen
  • Fixed rare issue where a round could fly through a tank without damaging it
  • Fixed display of tank outline while aiming near destroyed tank
  • Fixed UI lagging caused by display of numerous UI elements simultaneously
  • Fixed uncontrolled turning of the camera at the moment of entering SPG mode, while player's vehicle is hit
  • Fixed 'Average XP per battle' display in tank crew personal files
  • Fixed message of radio operator skill incompatibility in tooltip of IS-7 loader
  • Fixed incorrect cases of disconnecting player from server by 'spam_protection'
  • Fixed rare issue of Crash-to-Desktop during map loading
  • Fixed rare issue of losing controls over tank during battle
  • Fixed cases of loading current and unselected type of ammunition during reload of cassette
  • Fixed rare issue with the lost statistics for some vehicles, which happened after 8.9 release  
  • Fixed catapulting of small tanks while entering small sized objects on 'Tundra' map
  • Fixed client freeze during start of battle recording simultaneous to minimizing/maximizing game window
  • Fixed pressed button freeze during simultaneous switching between windowed and full-screen modes
  • Fixed fuzzy display of some achievements in 'Statistics' tab.
  • Fixed small issues with 'Exterior' camouflage and emblem setting windows
  • Fixed different outcomes on pressing 'esc' without focusing on specific dialogue windows.
