The vehicles on sale are:

Valkyria Chronicles Tanks

 Nameless (Tier VIII Japan HT)

What's Hot:

  • Good frontal hull and turret armour
  • Decent gun handling
  • Good view range
  • Decent penetration on AP and APCR rounds
 

What's Not:

  • Weak side and rear armour
  • Slow turret and hull traverse
  • Subpar rate of fire
  • Crew is fixed: Not suitable as a crew trainer

 Edelweiss (Tier VIII Japan MT)

What's Hot:

  • High top speed (60 km/h) and acceleration
  • Good hull traverse speed
  • Short aim time
  • Good view range
  • Turret can get lucky bounces (but don't count on them too much!)
 

What's Not:

  • Armour is easily penetrated, especially flat side armour
  • Large and flat target for a medium tank
  • Crew is fixed: not suitable as a crew trainer

III BT-SV  

 What's Hot:

  • AP and APCR penetration is decent
  • Good top speed (62km/h)

What's Not:

  • Subpar hull traverse speed

 

VIII Löwe  
 

What's Hot:

  • High penetration: 234/294/60
  • High accuracy
  • High health pool (1600 HP)
  • Good side armour; can sidescrape
  • Good gun depression/elevation angles
  

 What's Not:

  • Slow-moving
  • Large target; hard to play hull-down
  • Weak lower front plate
  • Poor camo rating

 

VIII T34  

What's Hot:

  • Highest penetration of Tier VIII HTs: 248/297/60
  • Tough turret armour all around, especially the front
  • Great gun depression; can play hull-down

What's Not:

  • Long reload time
  • Long aim time
  • Weak hull armour -- not suited to leading pushes
  • Low mobility
 

 

VIII IS-6  
 

 What's Hot:

  • Suited to aggressive play styles
  • High damage per minute: High alpha damage and good rate of fire
  • Excellent angled armour all around the tank
  • Good mobility
  • Few frontal weakspots; weak spots are hard to hit
  

 What's Not:

  • Low penetration
  • Angled armour best used on flat ground -- be careful on hills!
  • Low ammo capacity
  • Poor gun handling at a distance -- but who needs that when you're fighting head-to-head?

 

VIII 112  
 

What's Hot:

  • Tough upper hull and frontal turret armour
  • Good lower front plate armour
  • Good alpha damage
  • Good view range
  

 What's Not:

  • Low rate of fire
  • Poor gun handling
  • Side armour not suited to sidescraping

 

VIII T26E4 SuperPershing  
 

What's Hot:

  • Comes with riot shields -- very hard to penetrate frontal turret armour; good frontal hull armour
  • Takes less damage from HEAT and HE rounds from the front due to spaced armour
  • Good gun depression
  • Good AP and APCR penetration
  

 What's Not:

  • Relatively large and obvious frontal weak spots: machinegun port and left cupola
  • Low accuracy
  • Low mobility for a medium tank
  • Frontal hull armour can be reliably penetrated by high-penetration ammo

 

VIII T-54 first prototype  
 

What's Hot:

  • Strong frontal armour for a medium tank
  • Low profile; easy to play hull down
  • Good gun handling
  • Decent mobility
  

 What's Not:

  • Struggles to deal high damage in Tier X battles
  • Low penetration on AP rounds
  • Low top speed

 

VIII WZ-120-1G FT  

What's Hot:

  • High-powered 122mm gun
  • Fast reload
  • High damage per minute
  • Strong frontal upper plate armour
  • Good penetration
  • Good mobility
  • Good gun arc compared to similar Soviet vehicles
  • High camouflage values
 

 What's Not:

  • Long aim time
  • Poor accuracy
  • Low ammo capacity
  • Weak side armour

 

VIII Strv S1  
 

What's Hot:

  • Efficient damage dealer: Excellent penetration (288/330/53) and high shell velocity
  • Sneaky: High camo rating, low profile
  • Escapes easily
  

What's Not:

  • Gun cannot traverse: Must move the hull to aim
  • Poor mobility in Siege mode: Easily flanked
  • Low survivability

VIII STA-2  
 

What's Hot:

  • High rate of fire
  • Good AP and HEAT penetration
  • Good mobility
  • Good gun depression
  

 What's Not:

  • The armour is a lie!
  • Mobility is not suited for brawling -- try carefully flanking instead!
  • Low shell velocity
  • Not a great credit earner

 

VI Heavy Tank No. VI  
 

What's Hot

  • Great damage per minute

  • Great view range

  • Good APCR penetration (194mm)
  • Good armour against lower/same tier opponents

  • Good top speed (40 km/h)

  

What's Not

  • Struggles when fighting Tier VIII heavy tanks head-to-head

  • Low AP penetration

  • Armour is mostly flat -- needs to be angled well to be effective
  • Ammo rack and engine tend to be damaged easily

 

V Type 3 Chi-Nu Kai  

What's Hot:

  • Fast aim time
  • Good accuracy
  • Suited for sniping

 What's Not:

  • Low mobility
  • Large target
  • Weak hull armour

NOTE: The crews of the Edelweiss and Nameless are unique, and have the following limitations:
  1. Crew qualifications cannot be changed
  2. Crew cannot be retrained for another tank, not even from the Edelweiss to the Nameless and vice versa
  3. Crew personal data cannot be changed
  4. Crew cannot be sent to the barracks, even when the tank is sold
  5. Crew cannot be dismissed. However, if you sell the tank, you will be forced to dismiss the crew.
  6. Crew cannot be recovered in-game after selling the tank.
