Why should I get the Pz.Kpfw. B2 740(f)?

Good question! Although it's a low-tier heavy, it's special matchmaking rules ensure that it won't be seeing many tanks in the higher tiers, if any. That, combined with its relatively impressive firing rate and toughness, ensures that you'll contribute even a little bit against a tough team.

This tank is also one of the few vehicles that are no longer freely available on the Premium Shop except on special occasions (like this one), making it somewhat special. Besides, who could resist having this French/German hybrid hanging out in the garage?
