13-14 September: Battle of Flers-Courcelette Event

Specials & In-game Events
In other languages: th zh-tw ja

Tank Commanders,

Ninety-seven years ago, the very first tanks aided the British as they struggled to overcome the heavy German defenses in World War One. Very few of these original tanks have survived over the years, but their powerful legacy lives on in World of Tanks.

We already have some great special deals going in honour of the first ever tank battle, but in addition, we will also be hosting a Battle of Flers-Courcelette Event this Friday and Saturday.

How to participate:

When the event starts, our Event Staff will begin opening training rooms with the title [Battle of Flers Courcelette]. Players will be able to identify authentic event rooms by the following account names:

  • WG_LTS_01
  • WG_LTS_02
  • WG_LTS_03
  • WG_LTS_04
  • WG_LTS_05
  • WG_LTS_06
  • WG_LTS_07
  • WG_LTS_08
  • WG_LTS_09
  • WG_LTS_010
  • WG_LTS_011
  • WG_LTS_012
  • WG_LTS_013
  • WG_LTS_014
  • WG_LTS_015

The event requires all players to join the rooms with either British or German Tier 1 and 2 tanks ONLY. Anything else will not be accepted into the battles, so do take note!

Once inside, the Event Staff will sort players to their assigned teams, based on the country of the tank they have selected. As soon as the room lobby is filled with 14 players on each side, the Event Staff will lock the room and the battle will begin. The only maps in rotation will be Malinovka and Karelia, and the timer is set to 10 minutes per battle.

If you find yourself in a full lobby without being assigned to a team, do make an exit and find another with enough vacancies. Each event room will be reopened to newcomers after every completed battle, so there will be room for everyone!

Rewards:

Each time your team wins a battle, every player in your team (including you) will receive 200, which will be credited to your account within two weeks.

And here's the best part: there's no limit to the number of matches and rewards you can get, so play your very best and you just might earn yourself a tidy sum!

The Aftermath:

As mentioned, the event will only be available this Friday and Saturday. But that's not all we have for you this weekend!

Some of our most dedicated clans and community members are getting together for a huge skirmish on Sunday, 15th September. If you're interested, take a look at this forum thread for more details.

So what are you waiting for? Get your Tier 1s and 2s in tip-top shape, and we'll see you in the battlefield!
