The Waffenträger: Legacy - Tactics for Victory

Commanders,

Get ready to join the event "The Waffenträger: Legacy" and fight for victory!

As always, there has never been a right or a wrong side in this long confrontation. Both sides have their own morals, their own motivations, and their own visions of the future. So, it is up to you to decide which side to take. May the strongest win!

For those of you who have yet to master the mode, we have put together some hints, tips, and tactics.

May you succeed in victory as a Harrier Squad player in the fight against Ermelinda, and also as the The Blitzträger auf E 110!

Key Changes From the Previous Event

  • Instead of facing Max von Krieger, the Harriers will be opposed by his daughter, Ermelinda.
  • The Harrier Squad consists of a team of six random players—a Platoon of up to three players is allowed. They have unlimited respawns in a single battle, but each subsequent respawn will take more and more time.
  • If a Harrier vehicle has a load of Plasma on board and is moving faster than 50 km/h, the Plasma counter will slow down, meaning it will disappear later, giving you more time to deliver it to the Generators.

The Opposing Sides

The Harrier Squad

Three different vehicles, each with its own role and combat abilities. The Soviet Resistor is a versatile multipurpose tank with average vehicle characteristics; the French Foudre is a fast but poorly armored vehicle with a magazine loading system; and the American Thunderbolt is a sturdy and slow assault tank with decent armor.

Ironically, von Krieger himself helped develop the equipment mounted on these tanks (rumors say they are his own creations). This time, however, his creatures will be used on both sides of the conflict. The Harrier Squad's motivation is simple: von Krieger went too far in his experiments. He is out of control and must be stopped before it's too late, along with anyone else keeping an eye on the base in his absence. Electrical power should be used to create, not destroy. It's a fact that both sides could benefit from this standpoint.

Pack behavior is the first rule of the Harrier Squad. There is no way to defeat the Blitzträger auf E 110 solo. You will have to coordinate with your teammates in order to survive and win the battle.

The Harriers' Common Abilities

Silver Bullet

With each overloaded Generator, damage to the BT E 100 through the shield will increase. Damage does not decrease during the BT E 100's vulnerability phase.

Charge

Increases the vehicle's dynamic characteristics for a given period of time. This ability begins to reload upon activation.

Unlimited Respawns

Once your vehicle is destroyed, you will return to the battle in a new one. Respawn time increases with each lost vehicle.

Overload

A Harrier can pick up a clump of Plasma that can then be delivered to a Generator in order to overload it. Each time a Generator overloads, the shield on Ermelinda's vehicle is temporarily disabled. Picking up a clump of Plasma restores a certain number of hit points to all team members. Additionally, a vehicle carrying Plasma can deal more damage to the enemy.

Special Abilities for Each Vehicle

Railgun (Resistor)

After activating this ability, the following shot will be less accurate but will cause more damage to the enemy and their modules.

Siege Mode (Thunderbolt)

Increases the vehicle's rate of fire but decreases its mobility for a certain length of time.

Ballistic Dome (Foudre)

Grants invulnerability to stun and damage received from shells for a certain length of time.

Fighting in the Harrier Squad

The Blitzträger auf E 110, manned by Ermelinda, will be protected by an almost impenetrable energy shield, so it doesn’t make sense to shoot at it while this shield is active. Additionally, it is immune to fire and damage to modules and tracks. From time to time, AI-controlled vehicles called Sentinels will spawn at certain points on the battlefield to assist Ermelinda.

When destroyed, Sentinels leave a load of Plasma that you need to pick up and deliver to Generators, which are indestructible power structures that appear in different parts of the map and change location each time. They also create a protective shield for Ermelinda.

Fight in packs of three or four vehicles and coordinate efforts to collect Plasma to overload Generators, thereby disabling Ermelinda's shield for some time. Once the Blitzträger auf E 110 is temporarily without its protective shield, you have some time to cause full damage to it—and don't forget to use your unique combat abilities! After that, the shield will be restored, and you’ll need to overload the next Generator.

After overloading and destroying the fourth and final Generator, the shield on Ermelinda's machine will be permanently disabled, so take this opportunity to finish it off. But if the timer runs out with the Blitzträger still operational, Ermelinda wins.

Always keep in mind that the Blitzträger auf E 110 can teleport to a selected point on the map with some delay. When the protective shield disappears, Teleportation becomes temporarily unavailable, and after the destruction of the fourth Generator, this ability is blocked.

Remember that Ermelinda will also hunt for Plasma—it restores her vehicle’s HP and reduces the cooldown of the Teleportation ability.

Collecting Plasma

Destroy Sentinels and pick up the Plasma they drop. Ermelinda wants to get her hands on this resource too, so she will definitely give you trouble when trying to grab it.

Battle Tip: When you attack Sentinels, draw their attention with more than 2 harriers. This makes it easy to destroy them without being damaged.

Delivering Plasma

Deliver the collected Plasma to the Generators to overload them and remove Ermelinda's shield. The more Harriers near the Generator when it's overloading, the faster it will be destroyed (this mechanic is similar to capturing the enemy base).

Battle Tip: Swifter and less-damaged allies are preferred plasma carriers. If you get the plasma by mistake, drop the plasma on the ground and pass it to other allies.
If you get attacked by the Blitzträger, the progress of overloading the generator will be reset. You can utilize the cover around the generator to protect yourself until the overload is complete.

Seize the Moment!

Destroy a Generator and attack the Blitzträger! You will have some time to cause maximum damage before the shield recovers. After that, you will need to overload the next Generator.

Battle Tip: Focus all fire on the Blitzträger auf E 110 when the vehicle's shield is disabled. Some Harriers can stay near the Blitzträger and ready for an attack while other allies prepare the overload.

Endgame

Destroy all four Generators to permanently remove the Blitzträger auf E 110's power shield. At this point, time will be running out, so use your advantage wisely!

Checkmate

You will need to destroy Ermelinda's vehicle before the battle time runs out to ensure that she cannot escape. Remember, even without its shield, the Blitzträger is no less dangerous.

The Blitzträger auf E 110

Meet Max von Krieger's Magnum Opus. This remarkable piece of machinery is way ahead of its time. When the military rejected this type of gun platform, the only existing prototype was left to collect dust in the Alliance's garage. But somehow, von Krieger was able to get his hands on it. The Engineer managed to upgrade the machine into an unrivaled monster that is unlikely to encounter vehicles of its caliber any time soon.

As a result, the reworked beast, named the Blitzträger auf E 110, was equipped with a magazine-fed gun with devastating firepower and complete resistance to flames. Its modules and tracks can never be damaged or destroyed. Moreover, the vehicle is protected by an energy shield that absorbs all damage, and its armament provides some dangerous features to surprise enemies.

And do not forget about this steel beast's dangerous escorts, the Sentinels. Ermelinda can deploy these vehicles in battle to provide her monster with additional protection.

Gungnir

A shot that causes considerable damage to enemy vehicles.

EMP Arrow

A shot with a high-voltage charge that slows down and stuns enemies. Resets Generator Overload points for damaged vehicles.

EMP Burst

A charge of energy that covers the entire area around the vehicle. Stuns all enemies in the impact area and causes damage to those closest. Passes through all obstacles and resets Generator Overload points for damaged vehicles.

Teleportation

Allows the vehicle to teleport to a selected point on the map after a brief delay. Operating the vehicle is impossible during preparation. Cannot be used when the shield is deactivated.

Absorption

Plasma evaporates faster when vehicles are nearby. Vehicles within 50 m of a clump of Plasma when it evaporates will recover a certain number of hit points and accelerate the Teleportation cooldown.

Keys to Enter Battle in the Blitzträger auf E 110

You will need a special Key to enter a battle in the Blitzträger auf E 110. There are several ways to receive Keys: complete missions, obtain them as a reward for completing the Progression, or as part of some bundles purchased in the Store.

Blitzträger auf E 220: A Rare but Desired Enemy

If Lady Luck is on your side, you may encounter a special version of the Blitzträger in some battles: the E 220. This is a vehicle that only certain Wargaming employees and special invited guests are able to use in battle. If you emerge victorious over this formidable enemy while fighting in the Harrier Squad, you will receive exceptionally valuable rewards. The Blitzträger auf E 220 has the same technical characteristics as its 110 modification.

Fighting in the Blitzträger auf E 110

Although the Blitzträger auf E 110 is incredibly powerful and your shield reflects most of the damage you take, it still can be destroyed, so you must be very attentive. Protect your Sentinels, and don't let opponents collect loads of Plasma that can disable the Generators.

Make full use of your combat abilities, constantly move around the battlefield, and take advantage of the Teleportation ability. Be next to your Sentinels at the right moment, or teleport to the other end of the battlefield to buy time and save HP—choose the tactics that best suit the combat situation. Protect the Generators at all costs because if the Harriers destroy all four of them, the shield will disappear permanently and you will become vulnerable.

Time is on your side, so it’s not necessary to destroy all the Harriers to win. If they fail to destroy you before the timer runs out, you triumph! However, try to eliminate opponents, especially those who are far from their Squad. Remember that each kill increases the time until the next respawn. If you are low on HP and there are only a few seconds left until the end of the battle, simply disappear from your foes’ view.

Raise the Shields

Defend your Sentinels. Do not let the Harriers collect the Plasma left behind by destroyed Sentinels.

Battle Tip: Let the Sentinels destroy Harriers with low HP. If you are too close to Sentinels, Harriers could move towards other Sentinels. Do keep a proper distance from Sentinels!

Defensive Actions

Use your entire arsenal to slow down enemy vehicles carrying Plasma and prevent them from destroying the Generators. Teleportation: Stay close to your Sentinels when they need you most, or run to the other end of the location to buy time. The choice is yours.

Battle Tip: The Harriers carrying plasma could move to the closest generator with higher chances. So, when you use the Teleportation skill, consider their route in advance.

Stop Them at Any Cost

Defend your Generators! Each time a Generator is destroyed, you will temporarily lose your shield and become more vulnerable to attacks.

Battle Tip: If it is difficult to stop an overloading generator, it will be better to prepare for a situation without your shield in a safe place.

Cat and Mouse

To win, survive until the time runs out. Try to destroy Harriers. Each time a Harrier's vehicle is destroyed, the respawn time increases. But if your durability is low and there are just a few seconds left until the battle ends, avoiding an encounter and simply hiding from the Harriers is also a good tactic.

Battle Tip: : If you spot a lone Harrier away from the group, destroy it. Harriers will have difficulty to gather as a team if you keep destroying them one by one and increasing their respawn time.

Good hunting, Commanders!
