Tank Commanders,

The Common Test for 9.9 is up now! Download and log in to the Common Test client to see what changes will be made when the actual Update is release.

Common Test 9.9 #3 is now ACTIVE.

To participate in the test you need to do the following steps:

  1. Download & Run the installer found here. If you have previously installed Common Test 9.8, run the launcher to update it to Common Test 9.9 #3.
  2. Update the game via launcher.

 

Please install the test game launcher in a different folder, other than the current game client version! Also switch off the game client before installing the update.

Please Note! Only players who have registered prior to 21.06.2015 can participate in the test.

 

Scheduled server restart as of follows:

  • 1 periphery: 12:00 UTC+8 (04:00 UTC) daily. Average Duration: ~25 minutes
  • 2 periphery: 13:00 UTC+8 (05:00 UTC) daily. Average Duration: ~25 minutes
  • Center: 17:00 UTC+8 (09:00 UTC) daily. Average duration: ~2 minutes

Special features of the common test server:

  • Payments are not accepted on the public test server.
  • All test accounts will receive a one time crediting of:
    • 100,000,000 Free EXP
    • 100,000,000 Credits
    • 20,000
  • Progress won't be transferred to the main Asia server.
  • Credit and experience rates will not be increased for this test.

We draw your attention to the fact that the test server is subject to EULA and general rules of World of Tanks game server. The restrictions and punishments are the same as on the official game server of World of Tanks.


Preliminary Patch Notes

These are the list of changes and features that will be implemented on the 9.9 Common Test server.

These are preliminary Common Test notes and do not include the full details of all changes. The full list will be available upon the release of Update 9.9.

Changes in Update 9.9 Common Test #3 vs. 9.9 Common Test #2

  • Fixed the display of armor protection of the AMX 50 100.
  • Fixed some issues with the visual models of the following vehicles: VK 36.01 (H), Tiger P, Т-55 NVA DDR, and Tiger.
  • Fixed some minor issues with interface.
  • Fixed the display of spotted enemy vehicles on the minimap.
  • Fixed some hang-ups and crashes of the game client.
  • Returned the old version of the Highway map.
  • Added an option to the vehicle carousel that allows you to hide vehicles used for special modes.
  • Fixed the display of shadows on water.
  • Disabled the team chat for solo players in the Steel Hunt event.
  • Fixed the display of personal Emblems, Inscriptions, and Marks of Excellence on vehicle guns.

Changes in Update 9.9 Common Test #2 vs. 9.9 Common Test #1

Vehicles:
  • Canceled the replacement of the VK 45.02 (P) Ausf. B by the Mäuschen.
  • Added the ability to purchase the Premium Heavy Tank No. VI and Kanonenjagdpanzer vehicles during the test.
  • Increased the view range of the Spähpanzer from 380 to 400 m.
  • Fixed some issues with the damage and armor models of the following vehicles: T-62A (front of the turret), M6A2E1 (front and sides of the turret), T110E3 (front of the superstructure and hull).
  • Fixed some issues with the visual models of the following vehicles: Skorpion, Object 777, M6A2E1, Jagdpanther, Ferdinand, Caernarvon, Spähpanzer, Т-62А, JagdPz E 100, Maus, IS-3 auto.
Graphics and Maps:
  • Removed the test version of the Fiery Salient map.
  • Fixed many visual issues with maps.
  • Fixed the incorrect display of water on certain maps when using the standard renderer.
  • Fixed the insufficient brightness of Camouflage on some vehicles.
  • Fixed the incorrect display of shadows for integrated Intel HD Graphics video adapters.
  • Fixed the display of semi-transparent foliage with the TSSAA-LQ or TSSAA-HQ enabled.
  • Improved the performance of effects in the Sniper Mode.
  • Fixed the excessive brightness of vehicle track traces.
Other:
  • Fixed many issues with the Steel Hunt event.
  • Significantly reworked the economy of the Steel Hunt event.
  • Fixed many hang-ups and crashes of the game client.
  • Fixed the issue with battle level exceptions not working properly for some vehicles.
  • Fixed the display of post-battle statistics when playing in a Platoon.
  • Fixed the functionality of the Command Menu and the "Attention to sector...!" command.
  • Fixed some issues with the Team Battle mode.
  • Fixed some minor issues with interface.

Changes in Update 9.9 Common Test #1 vs. Update 9.8 release

Important:
  • Added new test event modes.
Vehicles:
  • Added the following vehicles for testing by Supertest players:
    • Tier VIII French MT Sherman M4A1 Revalorisé
    • Tier IV USSR MT T-28E F-30
    • Tier X USSR HT Object 777
    • Tier VIII German TD Skorpion
  • Made the following replacements of existing vehicles:
    • Spähpanzer SP I.C. replaced the Tier VII German LT Aufklärungspanzer Panther
    • Mäuschen replaced the Tier IX German HT VK 45.02 (P) Ausf. B
  • Reworked 14 vehicles in HD quality: Type 62, AMX 50 100, FCM 50 t, Churchill VII, Caernarvon, Conqueror, Panther/M10, VK 36.01 (H), M6A2E1, T23E3, M46 Patton, T110E3, T110E4, Т-62А
  • Significantly increased the front armor protection of the M6A2E1 upon reworking the vehicle in HD quality.
  • Fixed the issue with the damage models of 18 vehicles that made the front of the vehicles vulnerable to penetration by guns with low penetration power.
  • Improved some characteristics of the following Premium vehicles: STA-2, Type 62, and the T-44-122—the Supertest reward tank.
  • Fixed several issues with the models of the M26 Pershing and T-34-85 Rudy.
Maps and Objects:
  • Temporarily replaced the maps Prokhorovka and Fiery Salient with a reworked variant of the Fiery Salient for the duration of Common Test 1. The previous version of Prokhorovka and Fiery Salient will be restored for subsequent common tests and the release of Update 9.9.
  • Fixed some issues and reworked gameplay on the Swamp (in order to reduce the number of draws) and Highway (in order to encourage active gameplay in the center) maps.
  • Reworked destruction effects for some environmental objects.
Graphics:
  • Significantly optimized the overall performance of the 3D engine.
  • Implemented a mechanism that automatically lowers the resolution if game performance decreases.
  • Optimized performance of some special effects.
  • Improved the renderer:
    • Added a new full screen anti-aliasing method—Temporal Anti-Aliasing.
    • Improved the lighting model (BRDF) so that metals and matte surfaces now look more realistic.
    • Reworked shadow rendering. Improved both the performance and quality of shadows. Added soft shadows.
    • Added shadows from grass. Implemented a new method of fast grass shadow rendering—screen space shadows.
    • Optimized and improved the following post effects: bloom, god rays, lend flare. Bloom is now more stable. There is no more flickering when moving the camera.
    • Improved the quality and performance of HBAO (SSAO).
  • Standard renderer:
    • Improved the quality of lighting.
Other:
  • Fixed some hang-ups and crashes of the game client.
  • Fixed a rare issue with the inability of a gun with high penetration power to penetrate thin armor if such armor was under a certain configuration of side screens.
  • Fixed a rare issue with a shell flying inside a vehicle after a ricochet and consequently damaging a module or injuring the crew of the vehicle.
  • Fixed a rare issue with a shell flying through the turret of a destroyed vehicle.
  • Fixed many issues with the Team Battle mode.
  • Fixed the twitching of the reticle in the Sniper mode when aiming at certain objects.
  • Adjusted the display duration for the hints in the battle loading screen.
  • Improved the graphical appearance of Strongholds.
  • Expanded team panels are now displayed only when you press CTRL and mouse over a list.
  • Replaced the font for counters in the Personal Missions window.
  • Fixed the display of the suggestion about the purchasing of a standard module that was displayed even if you already had a top-tier module mounted.
  • Fixed the display of the same Platoon numbers for different Dynamic Platoons.
  • Fixed some issues with the playback of battle replays.
  • Fixed minor issues with interface.

M46 Patton:

  • Aiming time of the 90 mm Gun M3 for the M46M73 turret decreased from 2,3 to 2 s.
  • Aiming time of the 90 mm Gun M36 for the M46M73 turret decreased from 2,3 to 2 s.
  • Aiming time of the 90 mm Gun T15E2M2 for the M46M73 turret decreased from 2,3 to 2 s.
  • Aiming time of the 105 mm Gun T5E1M2 for the M46M73 turret decreased from 2,3 to 2 s.
  • Dispersion of the 105 mm Gun T5E1M2 decreased from 0.4 to 0.39 m.
  • Aiming time of the 90 mm Gun M3 for the M46T119 turret decreased from 2,3 to 2 s.
  • Aiming time of the 90 mm Gun M36 for the M46T119 turret decreased from 2,3 to 2 s.

M48A1 Patton::

  • Dispersion on turret traverse of the 105 mm Gun T5E1M2 decreased by 17%.
  • Dispersion of the 105 mm Gun T5E1M2 decreased from 0.4 to 0.38 m.

STA-2:

  • Crossing capacity of the STA-2 suspension on solid terrain increased by 20%.
  • Crossing capacity of the STA-2 suspension on medium terrain increased by 18%.
  • Crossing capacity of the STA-2 suspension on soft terrain increased by 10%.
  • Aiming time of the 90 mm Rifled Gun for the STA-2 turret decreased from 2,2 to 2,1 s.
  • Dispersion on turret traverse of the 90 mm Rifled Gun decreased by 29%.

STA-1:

  • Dispersion on turret traverse of the 90 mm Rifled Gun decreased by 17%.

Type 62:

  • Dispersion on the move and hull traverse of the Type 62 suspension decreased by 12%.
  • Crossing capacity of the Type 62 suspension on solid terrain increased by 17%.
  • Crossing capacity of the Type 62 suspension on medium terrain increased by 14%.
  • Crossing capacity of the Type 62 suspension on soft terrain increased by 7%.
  • Reload time of the 85 mm Type 62 gun for the Type 62 turret decreased from 5,7 to 5,5 s.
  • Dispersion on turret traverse of the 85 mm Type 62 gun decreased by 17%.

Т-44-122:

  • Dispersion on the move and hull traverse of the Т-44-122 suspension decreased by 8%.
  • Gun depression angle increased by 1 degree.
