SAVE THE DATE!

On 8 and 9 April, the city of Warsaw, Poland, will become the world capital of competitive gaming, as it will once again host the biggest Wargaming eSports event of the year: The Grand Finals 2016. This phenomenal annual competition will see the 12 greatest teams of World of Tanks clash for the ultimate title of World Champion and a $300,000 prize pool.

If you thought last year's event was huge, think again! The Grand Finals 2015 were so successful that we could barely welcome everyone. This year, the event will be held in Torwar Hall. With extended capacity, we will be able to accommodate twice as many visitors as we did in 2015. So, if you are looking for an unforgettable eSports experience, this is where you will want to be. And before you even wonder, entrance will be FREE!

THE HIGHLIGHTS

THE TEAMS

Every year, each region of the world sends its best two representatives to the Grand Finals. To get into the details, the event will host:

  • Two teams representing Asia and the Pacific (APAC, the KR and Asia servers)
  • Two teams representing the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS server)
  • Two teams representing Europe (EU server)
  • Two teams representing North America (NA server)
  • One team representing China (CN server)
  • Three teams selected as Wild Cards (WC) – teams selected for their outstanding performance and/or other qualities.

The battle for Season 2 is still raging in all the regions. Closer to the event, we will be able to reveal the names of the participants!

THE VENUE

The Torwar Hall is located in the heart of Warsaw, near the stadium. It traditionally hosts the most popular concerts and sporting events, including basketball and ice hockey games. Of course, the arena is easily accessible and well served by public transportation.

Check out the location and take the virtual tour!

THE TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The tournament will be played in 7 versus 7, in battles of 10 minutes, with Tier X tanks. For the first time, the best armoured vehicles in World of Tanks will be represented, so the games will look like nothing you have seen before!

The game mode will be attack/defence. One team is protecting two base capture zones, while the other is attempting to outmanoeuvre the defenders to capture them, or destroy all their vehicles.

Who will dethrone Hellraisers, the current champions?
