Featured Premium Tanks

105 leFH18B2

The 105 leFH18B2 is a French tier V premium self-propelled gun. It is a unique tank which is not available from the in-game store.

It has a high rate of fire, with huge firing range and view range. It has a thick armour for an SPG.
Pros:
  • Decent accuracy
  • Good rate of fire
  • Good armour for a tier V SPG
  • Good DPM for a tier V
Cons:
  • Has a hard time damaging higher-tiered tanks
  • Moves slowly
  • Slow turret traverse speed
  • Does not climb well

T1E6

The T1E6 is a tier 2 American premium light tank. It has a great max speed (48km/hr) and rate of fire (42.86r/m). So, hit-and-run strategies work best for this tank.

Like most light tanks, the T1E6 has weak armor. This tank has a bad view range, so it does not perform well as a scout. For best results, team up with tanks that have stronger armor so you can utilize the T1E6's firing speed.
Pros:
  • Accelerates quickly
  • No cost for AP ammo
  • Maneuvers well
  • Good rate of fire
  • Satisfactory reload time
Cons:
  • Not a strong damage-dealer
  • Weak armor
  • Low accuracy
  • Limited view range

Tetrarch

The Tetrarch is a Soviet tier 2 premium light tank.

It was provided to the USSR from Britain through the Lend-Lease Act. The tank was available as a 2012 New Year’s gift from Wargaming to all players for a limited time with the release of the 0.7.1 patch. The Tetrarch has also appeared in gift shop bundles on rare occasions.

It is well-armed, fast on firm ground and has a powerful radio. This is balanced by very weak armor, poor view range, and sluggish cross country and traverse performance.
Pros:
  • Excellent acceleration and top speed allows this tank to reach good spot positions very fast
  • Great traverse speed
  • Excellent penetration, accuracy and damage
  • Good turret traverse speed
  • Good signal range, stay in the near of your team while scouting for spotting damage
  • Fantastic (the typical tier 2) matchmaking
Cons:
  • Poor armor
  • Poor view range
  • Sluggish traverse
  • HE shells deal high damage

M3 Light

The M3 Light is a Soviet tier 3 premium light tank. It is currently not available from the in-game store.

It was previously available to new players for completing the in-game training course. It's slightly better than a stock M3 Stuart, but inferior to one that's been fully upgraded. Even so, don't underestimate this tank, as it still has decent top speed and a fast-firing cannon.
Pros:
  • Excellent top speed
  • Good turret traverse speed and elevation arc
  • Good rate of fire
  • Does not encounter tier 5 battles, unlike the regular Stuart
Cons:
  • Poor damage and penetration
  • Poor view and signal range

T7 Combat Car

T7 Combat Car
The T7 Combat Car is a USA tier 2 premium light tank.

It has good speed and decent maneuverability. It is equipped with an auto-loader gun which enables it to deal high amounts of burst damage. However, it comes with a fairly long reload time.
Pros:
  • Moves at a decent speed
  • Turns fast
  • Fires quickly
Cons:
  • Low damage and penetration
  • Rather long reload time
  • Weak armour

LTP

LTP
The LTP is a USSR tier 3 premium light tank.

It has a decent speed and good maneuverability. Its gun has a high rate of fire and large pool of ammo. It is best played as a close-range support tank.
Pros:
  • Superb RoF
  • Decent frontal armour when angled well
  • Good mobility
Cons:
  • Low accuracy
  • Weak gun
  • Slow aim time

FCM 50t

Take the FCM 50t if you're looking for a French tank that can aid your transition from medium to heavy tanks. This Tier VIII heavy runs at a maximum speed of 51km/h and can provide you with the familiarity of a medium tank's speed. On the plus side, it has a decent gun that penetrates 159-265mm of armour. The tank can put up a good fight with excellent aim time, accuracy, and reload time.

One of the tank's drawbacks is its low damage for its tier. The large size makes the tank bad at performing sneak attacks or taking cover.

Pros:
  • High top speed, combined with quick acceleration
  • Excellent tank traverse, can turn on a dime
  • Great penetration, better than even the Panther II
  • Good credit maker, due to the high DPM and accuracy combined with cheap ammo costs
  • Great view range
  • Great rate of fire, when used with trained crew/BiA/Rammer
  • Decent gun depression/elevation
  • Good accuracy
  • Special matchmaking that makes Tier IX the highest it can get against, allowing it to penetrate most tanks it faces
  • Excellent tank for support on medium wolfpacks, much like the other high tier French heavies
  • Great speed combined with relatively high weight makes it good for ramming, especially versus medium tanks
  • Large tracks can soak damage fairly reliably. When turning corners, you can make enemies shoot your tracks
Cons:
  • Average armour for a heavy, though very good compared to tier 8 mediums
  • Giant silhouette, many forms of cover are not particularly effective, and artillery has no problem hitting you
  • Low alpha damage
  • Prone to module and crew damage
  • Priority target for artillery
  • Ammorack can be damaged easily, safe stowage skill for loader or/and wet ammorack equipment is recommended for use

IS-6

The IS-6 is a Tier VIII premium heavy tank which belongs to the Soviet tech tree. This tank has decent mobility for a Tier VIII heavy – especially when compared to the Löwe. It packs a punch with its high damage and can prove to be a lethal weapon in close proximity engagements. It has one of the highest DPM among Tier VIII premium heavy tanks.

It has thick, well-angled armour from the front & sides. Its weakness lies in the rear armour where the fuel tanks are located. But if you're careful enough to prevent exposing this area to your opponents, you'll be kicking up a storm with this vehicle on the battlefield.

Oh, and did we mention what a credit-maker this machine is?

Pros:
  • Second best damage-per-minute of the Tier VIII premium heavy tanks, after the KV-5
  • Good alpha damage
  • Preferential matchmaking (Tier IX maximum)
  • Thick, well-angled armour from the front and sides
  • Good credit profitability
  • Decent mobility for a Tier VIII premium heavy tank – especially when compared to the Löwe
Cons:
  • Low ammunition capacity
  • Below average gun penetration
  • Terrible accuracy and aim time

KV-5

The KV-5 is a Tier VIII heavy from the Soviet tech tree. It has a strong hull and turret armor. This makes the KV-5 a good choice for ramming strategies. If taking down an opponent's tank like a heavy-weight wrestling champion is your idea of fun, send this metal monster to your garage!

Although the KV-5 can run up to 40km/h, it needs space to execute ramming techniques. Also, beware of vehicles from higher tiers as the KV-5 cannot penetrate armor beyond 125-209mm.

Get the KV-5 if you strongly value a good defence and a tank's credit-earning capability.

Pros:
  • Strong hull and turret armor
  • Can take a lot of damage
  • Decent speed for a heavy tank
  • High HP
  • Earns a high amount of credits
  • Good rate of fire
Cons:
  • Large size makes it a challenge to find proper hiding spots
  • Low penetration for its tier
  • Slow turret traverse

 8,8 cm PaK 43 Jagdtiger

Many opponents will run for cover when they see a 8,8 cm Pak 43 Jagdtiger. Its rounds can penetrate armours that are 152-252 mm thick. Not to mention, it has a high rate of fire. High accuracy also allows you to take down enemies easily by attacking weak spots. This TD can deal 180-300 HP of damage.

Although the Jagdtiger is powerful, it is extremely slow and has weak armour in the sides and rear. Use this for sniper roles and find good hiding spots to avoid detection. Long-range strategies are your best bets. Better yet, find a good team that can protect your sides.

Pros:
  • Very strong superstructure
  • Extremely precise gun that easily hits weak spots
  • Fast reload time and consequently good DPM
  • Ability to hull down
  • Excellent aiming time
  • Decent armour for Tier VIII
  • Excellent view range
  • Good amount of hit points
  • Thick tracks can absorb damage
  • Can engage multiple frontal targets easily - great for holding chokepoints
Cons:
  • Slow traverse speed
  • If "tracked" while going full speed, the momentum of such weight will turn the tank 90°, exposing its potentially thin sides
  • Poor Alpha damage - cannot compete with "peek-a-boo" tactics, and most halfway decent players won't just sit and let you shoot them repetitively
  • Can easily catch on fire if hit in the lower glacis
  • Side armour is weak
  • Large superstructure combined with slow speed make this tank very easy for artillery to hit
  • Immobility combined with lack of turret makes this tank have a huge lack of versatility

Panther/M10

Did you know that the Panther/ M10 was the first tank to sport a different colour from the other tanks of its nation? Performance-wise, this German Tier 7 medium tank has great accuracy for its tier, and superb speed and traverse. It also has the highest HP out of its tier 7 medium tank counterparts.

Although it does not deal very high damage, it is balanced by a good rate of fire. Be sure to keep moving to avoid getting hit on the sides and rear armour where the tank is at its weakest.

Other than that, this tank has low repair costs and high credit income, making it more cost-effective in comparison to other Panthers.

Pros:
  • Good rate of fire
  • Great accuracy for its tier, and decent accuracy while moving
  • Excellent speed and traverse
  • Decent acceleration
  • Excellent turret traverse
  • Low repair cost and high credit income
  • Highest hit points out of all tier 7 medium tanks
  • Never sees tier 9 fights unlike the regular Panther
  • Least expensive tier 7 premium tank
  • Relatively thick turret armour combined with a decent gun mantlet/gun depression and lack of easily targeted cupola make it pretty good at hulldown
  • Upper glacis is effective at bouncing shots from tier 7 and lower tanks due to the average thickness combined with its sloping
  • Excellent support tank for tier 7 heavies
Cons:
  • Mediocre thickness on the armour
  • Retains the thin lower glacis weakpoint from the Panther. When penetrated, the tanks tends to light on fire (cover this as much as you can)
  • Fairly low damage per shot, but average compared to the tier 7 mediums. Only the T20 has a large difference in terms of alpha damage
  • Barely sufficient penetration against tier 8 tanks, run away from Tiger II's or IS-3's unless shooting sides/rear/weakspots

Pz.Kpfw. IV Schmalturm

The Pz.Kpfw. IV Schmalturm is a premium tier 6 medium tank from the German tech tree. Tankers enjoy this vehicle for its accurate gun. Great penetration abilities allow shots from this tank to penetrate armour of 113-188mm. With high accuracy, a good RoF, and penetrating capabilities, this tank makes one fearsome sniper!

Just make sure you have your weak hull armour covered while around enemy tanks. To stay alive, keep your weak spots protected or support your team with firepower from afar.

Pros:
  • Excellent penetration
  • Strong turret armour
  • Good gun depression
  • Superior accuracy
  • Ideal for crew training
Cons:
  • Low alpha damage
  • Weak hull armour
  • Quite slow for a medium tank

112

The 112 is a Tier 8 Chinese heavy tank.

Most people will agree that the 112 is like a distant cousin of the IS-6 due to an approximately equal amount of armour and gun performance. However, there are some key differences that separate one from the other; its armour is slightly thicker and is distributed more towards the front rather than the sides, enabling it to withstand more hits in a head-on attack.

The gun's performance is equally impressive, which is enhanced by the premium HEAT rounds that it can fire. With it, one can achieve a powerful 250 penetration rating, which can demolish all but the toughest tanks in the game. As the speed of the 112 is adequate at best, the tank is most suited for brawling in close range, where its armour and armament can outlast the enemy.

Pros:
  • Good alpha damage
  • Extremely effective frontal armour, effectively 240mm thick
  • Thick turret is cast and rounded, making it very tough
  • Good straight line speed, can keep up with some medium tanks
  • HEAT ammunition is very effective
Cons:
  • Shoots rather slowly, considering the IS-2 has the same gun, is a tier lower and shoots faster
  • Very thin side armour, and cannot sidescrape as well as the IS-6
  • Very weak lower front plate is easily penetrated
  • Susceptible to both fuel tank and engine damage causing fires
  • Engine power is rather low, making acceleration sluggish
  • Bad tank traverse makes it turn badly
  • Poor accuracy, typical of Russian 122mm guns and their derivatives
  • Terrible aim time, also typical of Russian 122mm guns and their derivatives

 Löwe

The Löwe is a Tier VIII Premium heavy tank. It has an excellent gun for a Tier VIII heavy with better accuracy & penetration compared to a Tiger II’s top gun. The excellent view range allows you to earn credits quickly.

The tank’s upper glacis armour is strong enough to withstand 122mm of penetration and its well-sloped front of turret can bounce of shells even from Tier IX TDs.

Pros:
  • Excellent accuracy
  • Excellent gun for a Tier VIII heavy
  • Better accuracy and penetration than what Tiger II's top gun
  • Very strong gun mantle (comparable to JagdTiger's superstructure)
  • Excellent money-maker
  • Excellent view range
  • Upper glacis is strong enough against IS's 122mm
  • Well sloped front of the turret can bounce even Tier IX guns from TD's
Cons:
  • Large size, easy artillery target
  • Large lower glacis
  • Catches fire easily
  • Tank has under average HP/weight ratio
  • Upper glacis isn’t strong enough to resist guns with 200mm or higher penetration guns

T-34-3

The T-34-3 is a Tier 8 Chinese medium tank.

This tank is a variant of the T-34-2, a Chinese credit tank and also its successor in the real world. Like all improved variants, the T-34-3 outshines its older brother in every single way in the game, featuring improved armour, weapons and mobility.

The main gun of the T-34-3 is undoubtedly the highlight of the tank, as it is taken directly from the 112. This means that the T-34-3 can potentially - with the use of premium HEAT rounds - achieve the same 250 penetration rating as the heavy tank, which is more than enough to pierce the armour of any medium tank in the field.

Because of its strengths, most players consider this a worthy alternative to the Type 59 medium tank.

Pros:
  • Tough turret
  • Great damage per shot
  • Very high penetration with gold ammo
  • Good mobility
Cons:
  • Abysmal gun depression
  • Poor aim time and accuracy
  • Average penetration with AP ammunition
  • Long reload time for a medium tank
  • Low DPM

Type 64

The Type 64 is a Tier 6 Chinese Light Tank.

Its top speed at 72km/hr and excellent signal range makes it a great scout. This tank is able to run circles even around light tanks, so use the manoeuvrability to your advantage.

Be careful, though. The Type 64 has extremely thin armour on the front, sides, and rear. One of the best defence strategies is to keep moving and avoid getting hit. Target enemies with weaker armour if you wish to reap a few kills.

Pros:
  • Excellent speed
  • Manoeuvres easily
  • Good gun depression
  • Decent view range
  • Great signal range
Cons:
  • Weak armour
  • Slow turret traverse speed
  • Poor accuracy
  • Radio operator required
  • Usually matched with higher tiers

T2 Light Tank

The T2 Light Tank is an American tier 2 premium light tank. It is very fast with a top speed of 72 km/hr. Good driving skills are needed to bring out the best in this tank. Well-executed circling tactics will increase your rate of survival.

It has a weak gun and poor armour. So, keep moving to avoid enemy fire. Avoiding direct contact is also a good idea since being rammed to destruction is a possibility. This tank serves as a great distraction to opponents while your teammates take down unsuspecting tankers.

Pros:
  • Great acceleration and top speed
  • Deals a decent amount of damage
  • Good gun elevation
  • Small size allows it to hide in bushes easily
Cons:
  • Poor armour
  • Poor view range
  • Poor signal range
  • Poor matchmaking

 M22 Locust

The M22 Locust is a fast and fun tank to play. It's a small sized American tier 3 premium light tank that can reach a top speed of 64km/hr pretty quickly regardless of terrain. Don't get too carried away by its fast speed though, as the radio range of the M22 is limited.

It boasts a higher penetration that its German counterpart, the T-15, but is less manoeuvrable and has a lower view range. It has good penetration for its tier with a 37 mm M-6 gun equipped and can take out opponents with its high rate of fire. However, the gun cannot penetrate tier V tanks unless you target their weak spots. One thing to look out for when playing this tank is to be mindful of your ammunition supply as the limited supply of 50 shells can run out quickly.

Pros:
  • Good hit points for this tier
  • Nice top speed
  • Good penetration for its tier
  • Good accuracy, aim time, turret traverse speed and elevation arc
  • Good accuracy on the move
  • Good view range
Cons:
  • Not very agile
  • Low protection
  • Small ammo capacity
  • Poor signal range
  • No special matchmaking

 Ram II

This American tier 5 premium medium tank is well-armoured and has decent speed for its type. The Ram II has a strong defence that makes it a great support tank. Be mindful of weak spots and this tank can be one tough customer for enemies to handle.

Although its penetration is not fantastic, it is effective against most tier 5 tanks. Its rate of fire at 26.2 rounds/min gives it a high DPM which can take out tanks with weaker armour. You can choose to team up with a tank with stronger firepower to leverage on each other's strengths.

Pros:
  • High DPM
  • Manoeuvres and accelerates well
  • Higher chances of bouncing shells
  • Good in close-range combat
  • High HP
  • Good armour
Cons:
  • Poor view range
  • Weakspots can easily be exploited
  • Poor alpha damage
  • Slow aim time
  • Poor accuracy

 T14

The T14 is a tier 5 heavy tank that has an upper-hand over medium tanks of a similar tier or under. It has thick turret armour on all sides. And has a good rate of fire, allowing it to dish out damage before an enemy knows what's happening.

Although the T14 is the weakest heavy tank for its tier, it has decent mobility which will allow you to move out and help allies in need. Familiarize yourself with hull down tactics to get the best gameplay out of this tank.

Pros:
  • Good speed and acceleration
  • Strong turret armour
  • High DPM
  • Earns credits quickly
  • Good HP
Cons:
  • Low alpha damage
  • Low penetration
  • Slow Traverse speed
  • Bad accuracy

T-127

The T-127 tank has one of thickest hull and turret armour in the game for its tier with a slightly sloped frontal armour that will allow you to bounce shots off from tanks of the same tier and take multiple hits without much trouble. If you use cover and time your shots, this tank has great sustainability in close combat which allows you to take on multiple opponents.

It is also equipped with a gun that has a good rate of fire and can penetrate most tanks of similar tiers. While it is slower than the other Soviet light tanks, this tank is much more at home on the front lines than its faster and more agile siblings. Its weakness lies in the rear of the turret so avoid exposing this area to your opponents.

Pros:
  • Solid armour can easily bounce shots
  • Good rate of fire
  • Turret traverses quickly
  • Quite mobile for the amount of armour it has
Cons:
  • Lower speed and manoeuvrability than other light tanks
  • Poor signal range
  • Driver hatch at front is a big weak spot

Valentine II

The Valentine II is a Soviet tier 4 premium light tank. Don't let its looks fool you. This tank may look small, but it has strengths and weaknesses similar to those of heavy tanks. It also has great armour and has 380 HP which is generous for its type and tier.

You can choose to lead the charge with this tank's strong armour and high rate of fire. Spearheading an assault alone is not recommended, so team up with a TD or an ally with a better gun for best results.

Try to avoid attention from enemy snipers and arty. The Valentine II can't run with its slow speed. But it can hide well because of its small size.

Pros:
  • Heavy armour with few weak spots
  • High HP
  • Easy to camouflage in bushes and behind rocks
  • Fast gun/track traverse
  • High rate of fire
  • Decent damage and gun depression
  • Good matchmaking
Cons:
  • Gun is weak against tier 4s
  • Weak engine
  • Low speed limit
  • Low ammo capacity

Churchill III

The Churchill III is a Soviet tier 5 premium heavy tank. Although slow, it has devastating firepower! It has a high rate of fire at 26.25 r/m which can down opponents quickly. Look out for weak spots and bully those pansies into submission! Another great feature that makes this tank a keeper is that it generates a lot of EXP, which makes it a great tank for training your crew.

But like most bullies, the Churchill III could only pick on tanks of its tier and under. Make a run for it when you see higher-tiered heavies or when you feel that enemy arty is trying to push you off the playground.

Pros:
  • Armour is highly effective against tier 4s
  • Largest HP pool of any tier 5 tank
  • Very high rate of fire, reasonably accurate even while moving
  • Frontal weakspots easily hidden by hull angling
  • Generates a high level of EXP, which speeds crew training
  • Cheap ammo and repair costs
  • Preferential matchmaking means it only sees up to Tier 6 battles
  • Very large ammo capacity
Cons:
  • Moves, accelerates, and rotates slowly
  • Low alpha damage
  • Barely-adequate penetration values
  • Poorly-protected turret
  • Mostly unsloped armor
  • Priority target for artillery
  • Gun reloads faster than it can aim

Matilda IV

The Soviet tier 5 Matilda IV is a medium tank, but should be played like a heavy. Although this tank has great armour, high HP, and can unleash some serious damage, it is slow. You will need superb battle instincts to know where to position this tank so it can be a valuable piece in your team's victory.
A Matilda IV can deal 83-138HP of damage - this helps it to defeat lower-tiered light and medium tanks with ease. If you feel like taking on stronger opponents, team up with a heavy tank and protect your ally's flank.
Pros:
  • Superior rate of fire, aim time and accuracy
  • Amazing gun depression
  • Thick, well-angled armour and high HP
  • Fast turret traverse
Cons:
  • Limited top speed and acceleration
  • Low alpha damage
  • Low penetration
  • Fairly low ammunition capacity

 Pz.Kpfw. S35 739 (f)

The PzKpfw S35 739 (f) is a German tier 3 premium medium tank. A mobile tank with good manoeuvrability and acceleration. It has good hit points and a decent gun for its tier and will have no problems facing lower-tier tanks. The tank has a high rate of fire is capable of delivering a lot of damage. Other plus points are a large ammo capacity and a good signal range. Its size, however does make it vulnerable to incoming fire from the sides, therefore, it is recommended to always have the front face the enemy in order to minimise the damage received and provide a smaller target for your enemy to shoot. As it has weak armour, it's always a good idea to team up with a group and support them with flanking shots.
Pros:
  • Good hit points
  • Good acceleration
  • Relatively fast traverse speed
  • Rounded armour, which makes this tank quite thick against tier 3 and lower
  • High damage potential and rate of fire
  • Large ammo capacity
  • Good signal range
  • Fastest aim time in the game
Cons:
  • No preferential matchmaking
  • Prone to crew loss
  • Relatively low top speed

T-15

Something great about the T-15 is that it has the agility to drive circles around enemy tanks. This tier 3 German light tank also has good HP for its tier. It also makes a good scout with an excellent view range.

Although its gun is decent against tanks of the same tier, it will not deal much damage to higher tiers. So take advantage of the T-15's speed and aim for weak spots.

Pros:
  • Good hit points for a tier 3
  • Good accuracy, aim time, turret traverse speed, and elevation arc
  • Good agility
  • Good view range
  • Decent armor for a light tank
  • Extra signal range
Cons:
  • Below average damage and penetration
  • Does not perform well in scout rushes
  • Not to be used for scout rushes
  • Scouting can be difficult if there are many other fast tanks

T-25

The T-25 is a tier 5 premium medium tank which hails from Germany. As it was designed as a successor to the PzKpfw 38 (t) and PzKpfw 38 nA, you'll find some similarities in its profile but with a larger build with sloped armour and a forward rather than a centre mounted turret. Its speed makes up for its sub-par armour and its capable of hitting a top speed of 60km/h, making this tank an excellent candidate for breaching enemy lines and supporting positions in a flash. It has good accuracy and a high rate of fire which allows it to take out lower tier tanks swiftly but it lacks the manoeuvrability of a light tank and can encounter some trouble against frontal armours of stronger tanks. Nevertheless, this machine will be a valuable asset to any player's arsenal.

Pros:
  • Good damage and penetration
  • High HP
  • Good forward and reverse speed
  • Good gun depression
  • Best money maker for its tier
  • Can scout in a pinch (although not advised)
Cons:
  • Low aim time
  • Rather low view range - can be remedied through tactical use of Binoculars.
  • Has difficulties reaching top speed
  • Vulnerable to ammo rack damage
  • Poor armour
  • Slow turret and hull traverse

Sexton I

The Sexton I is a British tier 3 premium self-propelled gun.

Although it does not damage well, nor is it extremely accurate, it has a high rate of fire for its type. The Sexton I is also capable of reaching its top speed of 40km/hr quickly.

Keep firing and moving to get the best out of this machine!

Pros:
  • High rate of fire
  • Fairly mobile
  • Huge ammo capacity
  • Large gun sweep
Cons:
  • Low damage per shot
  • Poor shell penetration
  • Low XP generation limits training
  • Crew positions do not match well with other British SPGs

Matilda Black Prince

The Matilda Black Prince is a tier 5 medium tank. A collector’s piece for fans of the British Tech Tree. This tank has a decent defence with good armour and an above-average 610HP. Its view range of 350m and rate of fire at 26.09 rounds/min allows players to take on sniper roles for the team.

For best results, station the Matilda Black Prince further away from the front lines. Though slow, it is capable of dealing 56-94HP of damage.

Pros:
  • Armour is better than it appears
  • High rate of fire with reasonable accuracy
  • Relatively low profile
  • Above average HP
  • Good matchmaking
  • Side skirts have thin spaced armour
Cons:
  • Slow with poor power to weight ratio
  • Low damage and penetration
  • Small ammo capacity
  • Gun reloads faster than it can aim

Excelsior

Can’t decide between a medium and heavy tank? Think of the Excelsior as the perfect balance between a medium and heavy class. This British tier 5 tank moves at a decent pace of 38 km/hr and deals 83-138HP of damage. The Excelsior makes up for its speed with thick armour on the front and rear. Just be careful and avoid getting hit on its sides where armour is thin.
Pros:
  • Good speed that can keep up with the pace of battle
  • Thick armour that stops many lower-tier shots and the occasional high tier
  • Good RoF for a 75mm gun
  • Surprisingly thick back armour can protect you a bit from ambushes
Cons:
  • Poor penetration and accuracy with stock rounds - premium rounds required against heavies
  • Frontal armour profile is mostly flat and angling will expose your weak sides
  • Roof armour is only 19mm, making it vulnerable to arty or shots down from elevation
  • Somewhat low HP for a premium heavy
  • Weak side hull armour
