These are the list of changes and features that will be implemented on the 9.6 Common Test server.

These are preliminary Common Test notes and do not include the full details of all changes. The full list will be available upon the release of Update 9.6.

List of changes between versions 9.6 #2 and 9.6 #3

  • Fixed some issues with the visual models of the following vehicles: Е 100, T95.
  • Fixed a number of issues in Combat Reserves.
  • Improved performance when using Combat Reserves.
  • Fixed hang-ups when changing Camouflage or Inscriptions for the vehicle with the incomplete crew.
  • Fixed descriptions of some personal missions.
  • Fixed some interface issues in personal missions.
  • Fixed some gameplay and interface issues in the Strongholds mode.
  • Fixed some issues with the requalification of crew members.
  • Fixed some interface issues with the game client when using social networks.

 

List of changes between versions 9.6 #1 and 9.6 #2

Important

During this test, a number of full-scale Battles for Stronghold with the [WG] clan will be conducted. In these battles, Combat Reserves of the maximum Level X will be used. Clans will be able to use 2 Combat Reserves per battle.

Two types of Combat Reserves will be made available:

  • Artillery Strike
  • Airstrike

Each clan can build 2 new structures, where Combat Reserves will be produced, and try them out in Battles for Stronghold.

 

Vehicles

  • Fixed some issues with the visual models of the following vehicles: Т-54 first prototype, Е 100, M4 Improved, T28 concept, Tiger P, Pz.III Ausf.K, Achilles IIC, Ferdinand, Löwe.
  • Fixed some issues with the damage models of the following vehicles: Е 100, Löwe, Tiger P, Т-54 first prototype, M2, T95, AMX 50 B.

 

Maps

  • Improved the gameplay features of the Mines map.
  • Improved the performance on the Redshire map.
  • Fixed some visual issues on the Prokhorovka map.
  • Fixed the issues with the visual and damage models of some environmental objects.

 

Objects

  • Reduced the price of requalification of a crew member to 500 gold.
  • Fixed the position of the “Remember me” checkbox on the login screen.
  • Fixed the brief display of a point where vehicle was last spotted instead of vehicle markers when switching between allies.
  • Fixed the playback of the "That was close" sound notification when player's own vehicle was damaged.
  • Fixed the issues with the inability to go to the Garage tab when choosing the Select a vehicle in the Garage option.
  • Fixed the issue with the view vector displayed instead of arc of fire on the minimap for SPGs, if that option was enabled in battle.
  • Fixed the display of arcs of fire on the minimap for SPGs with limited superstructure traverse angle.
  • Fixed some gameplay and interface issues in the Stronghold mode.
  • Fixed some gameplay and interface issues in the Stronghold mode.
  • Fixed some interface issues in personal missions.
  • Fixed many issues with the new chat Contact list.
  • Fixed the display of nicknames of players being added to the Friends list.
  • Fixed some issues with the requalification of crew members.
  • Fixed some issues with the login via social networks feature in the game client.
  • Fixed some hang-ups and crashes of the game client.

 

List of changes between versions 9.6 and 9.5

Important

  • Substantially changed the distribution of hits at the aiming circle (insignificantly reduced the number of hits at the very center of the reticle).
  • Added an option to change the qualification of crew members.
  • Reworked the chat Contact list (details below).
  • Rebalanced the view range of some tanks and tank destroyers.

  • Added the following vehicles for testing by Supertest players:
    • Т-54 (1945), Tier VIII U.S.S.R medium tank.
    • M4 Improved, Tier V U.S. medium tank.
    • M56 Scorpion, Tier VII U.S. tank destroyer.
    • Pz.III Ausf.K, Tier V German medium tank.
    • FV4202, Tier VIII U.K. medium tank.
    • Object 730, Tier VIII U.S.S.R. heavy tank.
  • Reworked the following vehicles in HD quality: Löwe,Ferdinand, E100, Tiger P, T95, Object 704, AMX 50 B.
  • Fixed some issues with the visual models of the following vehicles:Tiger, T37, Panther mit 8,8 cm L/71, Grant, M41 Bulldog.
  • Fixed some issues with the damage models of the following vehicles: T28 concept, Stuart I, Achilles IIC.
  • Rebalanced some light tanks.

 

Maps and Objects

  • Fixed some unevenness of terrain on the Steppes, Prokhorovka, and Redshire maps.
  • Improved the gameplay features on the Mines map.
  • Removed the Dragon Ridge map from the game.
  • Added the following maps to the Team Battle mode: Lakeville, Mines, and Sand River.
  • Improved the gameplay in the Team Battle mode for the Himmelsdorf map.
  • Changed some types of barricades on the Stalingrad map.
  • Added the effect of artillery preparation during the countdown before the start of a battle on the following maps: Malinovka, Abbey, Kharkov, Fiery Salient, Stalingrad.
  • Improved the effects on the Steppes, Mountain Pass, and Sand River maps.
  • Fixed the issue with concealment not working for some bushes on the Prokhorovka map.
  • Fixed the issues with visual and damage models for some environmental objects.

 

System and Performance

  • Optimized the display of some special effects.
  • Fixed the flickering of transparent foliage.
  • Fixed the visual stuttering of the game client with high latency.
  • Fixed the capturing of screenshots by pressing PrintScreen or Alt+PrintScreen with minimized WoT client window.
  • Optimized the memory consumption in battle.
  • Fixed some hang-ups and crashes of the game client.

 

Others

  • Added the options of registration and login in the game client through social networks.
  • Added the new “Remember me” option on the login screen.
  • Improved the interfaces of gold exchange and experience conversion.
  • Fixed the description of the Tank Sniper award.
  • Changed the inscription for French “Gardes courageux” to “Coeurs vaillants”.
  • Expanded Executive Commander’s Stronghold management permissions.
  • Fixed some issues with interface and gameplay in the Stronghold mode.
  • Fixed some issues with interface in personal missions.
  • Fixed some issues with functionality of the voice chat.
  • Fixed an issue with the awarding of the Naydin’s Medal.
  • Fixed the issues with crediting a point for a destroyed vehicle, if the enemy vehicle drowned after its track was destroyed.
  • Fixed the “twitching” of the vehicle when viewing a battle replay.
  • Fixed some issues with the battle replay playback.

 

Detailed List of Changes to the Chat Contact List

  • Changed the structure of the Contact list (added categories, contact groups, Contact list settings).
  • Implemented a reciprocal friendship between players. Friendship can be established by sending a friend request to other players.
  • Added an option to create/edit/delete custom groups in the Contact list.
  • Added and option to search for a contact in the Contact list. (Note: will prove helpful for those players, who have many contacts in their Contact list).
  • Added an option to rearrange contacts in your Contact list using Drag&Drop.
  • Added activity statuses for players in the game client: in battle / in Garage. Statuses are displayed in the Contact list for player’s friends.
  • Rearranged the actions in the context menu.
  • Edited the texts of some actions in the context menu.
  • Added the variability in actions displayed in the context menu depending on the relationship between the players and interface.
  • Changed the interface of the Invitation to Tactical Unit window.
