General News
In other languages: th zh-tw ja

Tank Commanders,

The Rampage event will be available with the release of Update 9.10. Battles in the event will take place in two formats already familiar to all players: Domination and Steel Hunt.

In order to choose this mode, click on the 'Random Battle' button and choose 'Rampage' from the list.

After that you’ll be able to choose a battle mode in the Rampage event.

Steel Hunt

Solo players and platoons will be able to take part in battles depending on the format. The standard battle duration will be used – up to 15 minutes.

Battles will take place on two maps:

  • Ghost Town
  • Icebound

The primary objective is to score more Victory Points than the other players/platoons before the battle ends. The battle ends immediately if one player or platoon reaches the required number of Victory Points before time runs out.

In order to participate in battle, players need to choose from one to three Tier X tanks. There are no limitations on vehicle class. To start a battle, prepare all the vehicles and click on the "Battle!" button.

Key Features of the Game Event

The main characteristic of the new game event is the division of combat tasks between solo and platoon players:

  • Solo players: Their main goal is to deal damage, destroy enemies and capture flags. Accomplishing any of these objectives will reward them with Victory Points. Flags captured by solo players are absorbed. Solo players play individually, without allies.
  • Platoons: Players can also form three-player platoons. The main goal is to deliver flags to designated areas. Platoons represent stand-alone combat units; all other battle participants are enemies. Victory Points earned by platoon members are combined and applied to the overall battle score. Victory Points are awarded for delivering flags, dealing damage, and destroying enemies.

During the battle, the following Combat Reserves will be available to players:

  • Artillery Strike
  • Airstrike

Combat Reserves will become available after performing effective actions in battle: dealing damage and destroying enemies. To use Combat Reserves, press 7 or 8 and choose the target point. When using Airstrike, you will also use the mouse to adjust the direction of the incoming aircraft, affecting the shape of the bombardment zone.

Battle Format of the Steel Hunt Event

Three battle formats will be available for players:

  • Mixed format. Four platoons and four solo players fight simultaneously. Battles are fought in an “Everyone vs. Everyone” format. A platoon of three players or a solo player is considered a combat unit. The first platoon or solo player to score 750 Victory Points, or the platoon or solo player with the most points when time runs out, wins. Victory Points are scored for dealing damage, destroying enemies, and delivering/absorbing flags. In the new version of the Steel Hunt event it will be displayed to what platoon a player belongs.
  • Platoon format. Four platoons take part in the battle. Battles are fought in an “Everyone vs. Everyone” format. The first platoon to score 750 Victory Points, or the platoon with the most points when time runs out, wins. Victory Points are earned for delivering flags, destroying enemies, and dealing damage. In the new version of the Steel Hunt event it will be displayed to what platoon a player belongs.
  • Single format. Twelve players fight in the battle. Battles are fought in Deathmatch format. There are no flags; Victory Points are earned for dealing damage and destroying enemies. A player can win either by earning 200 points (ending the game) or by having the most points when the timer runs out.

Battle formats are picked randomly during team assembly.

Respawning

After your tank has been destroyed, you can deploy into battle again with one of prepared vehicles.

Respawns are unlimited, but when a tank is destroyed, its preparation time increases:

Number of DestructionsPreparation Time (in seconds)
1 20
2 25
3 30
4 35
5 40

Capture the Flag

During the battle you can pick up and carry flags. A flag is picked up automatically when your vehicle touches it. Having picked up a flag, now you need to take it to a dedicated deposit point. When you do, your team will be awarded a certain amount of points and the flag will return to its initial position automatically.

  • Flags will be placed in special zones on the maps.
  • A tank that has picked up a flag will be marked on the map.
  • The location and movements of the flags will be marked on mini-map by a special indicator.
  • Destroying a flag-carrying opponent’s vehicle will result in the flag being dropped. If that happens, all players in the battle will be able to pick it up from where it fell for a limited period of time. If nobody picks it up during that time, the flag will be reinstated to its original position automatically

Repair and Resupply Zones

On the map there will be a certain number of zones to repair a vehicle and replenish ammunition. To activate these zones, a player must go inside of the yellow circle, marked on the mini-map with the correspondent icon and wait 5 seconds without receiving any damage and without leaving the circle. If a tank gets damaged, the timer starts over again.

The zones have a cooldown of 1 minute. This means that if you have used it, you must wait 60 seconds before you can use it again. The cooldown is counted for each player individually, which means that several vehicles from both teams can use it at the same time.

Domination

Each Domination battle will be fought between two teams of 10 or 15 players, depending on the map. The participation is available for solo players and platoons. Battle duration – up to 15 minutes.

The goal is to score more Victory Points than the enemy.  The battle ends immediately if one team scores 150f Victory Points before time runs out. Victory points can be earned for taking captured flags to the special zones and for destroying enemy vehicles.

Battles will take place on the following maps:

  • Icebound (1 or 4 flags);
  • Ghost Town (1 or 4 flags);
  • Mines (1 flag);
  • Cliff (1 flag);
  • Karelia (4 flags)
  • Himmelsdorf (4 flags)

In order to take part in a battle, users need to choose in hangar from one to three tanks of VIII, IX or X tiers. Moreover, among the chosen vehicles there should be minimum one tank of tier X. To start a battle, prepare your vehicles and click on the “Battle!” button.
